I watched that episode and noticed at one point at least they were towing at 75 mph! That trailer and load were one the poorest aerodynamic trailers I have ever seen. The fuel economy would increase greatly if towed at a more reasonable 60 mpg.
I also do not believe towing at those speeds is...
My skies are at their best in autumn and are a good Bortle 4. More commonly they are a Bortle 5, but can, especially during fire seasons of late get to a Bortle 6 or worse.
I will try to answer your questions, and apologize for the double images posted. Not sure how that happened.
- Yes the dome is for my telescope. I have reasonably dark skies but my observing zone is mostly to the East and North as there are high trees to the south of the house, and the house...
I am preparing for my trip across Canada starting sometime in the second week of June.
I will have a Roof Top Tent for accommodation and a 12 volt fridge, EcoFlow PowerStation.
I plan to do most of my cooking electrically as I will be travelling during the Fire Season for
most of the trip. The...

May be a bit late for the OP but I just installed a Bed Rack from:

I have a photo of the installation on my 25 Maverick but can not upload from this device. It looks...
I'm doing something similar, but initially for a road trip across Canada this summer. Not much if any off roading. Your RTT you have opening to the drivers side, I am thinking of mine opening to the passenger side. Any advantage one way or the other?

Added some Additions for the trip. I have added a Tonneau and a set of Bed Racks to mount the Roof Top Tent on. Working on designing the two level bed
storage below the Tonneau. Will show people when I get that going in the next
week or so.
I finally received my 25 Lariat Hybrid AWD on Tuesday and drove home to Chilliwack from Vancouver with it. It is interesting watching the Km to empty adapt. The truck said 527 Km to empty when I picked it up and after driving about 120 km to Chilliwack it now reads 633 Km to empty. Neat...
Let the bells ring out and the banners fly; my Maverick has been Delivered!
I went in on Tuesday and did all the paper work and paid my money and picked up my shiny new Oxford White Maverick Lariat. On Wednesday I showed it to the family and then drove back to Chilliwack.
This was quite...
Actually I get that colour name wrong all the time. The official name is Oxford White, not sure where Polar White got into my wee tiny mind, but there it is, I will blame it on advancing years!
No Tariffs! Truck arrived at MSRP + the various "documentation fees" plus a $32.50 Excise Tax...
My truck is in Vancouver and will be at the dealership Monday the 14th. Not sure if I will get it this next week or not. Family events around Easter may put off pickup until the following week. It has been a stressful time with all the tariff threats, but in my case the truck arrived at MSRP...
So my 25 Maverick Lariat in Polar white has arrived at the Dealer! Yahoo. Now I need to get the money together and put myself in debt. Maybe pickup the truck next week sometime.

I remember my Audiophile days fondly. When I spent way too much money on very small or
non existant upgrades. Now I am over 70 and my ears have gone to s**t and I do not have to
worry about these things anymore. Having said that, my 25 Lariat comes with the B&O system.
Back in the day B&O...
I learned about the max RPM of MG1 from WeberAuto. When running on only electric drive the way planetary gears work MG1 is turned in an overdrive condition. When the gas engine starts it changes the way the planetary gear set works and lowers the RPM of the MG1. Check out WeberAuto on YouTube it...
Very good assessment. Probably right on with the pricing. The reason the engine comes on at a certain speed is due to the planetary gear design. When the traction motor, MG2, is on without the gas engine, MG1, is driven in reverse at an overdrive rate. MG1 can only take so many RPM, then the...
I have been waiting, as have most everyone else in the Vancouver Area, for their Mavericks. The shipment of Mavericks left the factory on Feb. 20th and arrived in Orillia Wa. about the first week of March. There they sit with no apparent delivery schedule.
Does anyone know of a reason for...
