It completely disables our ability to remote start the vehicle (2023 models don't have a key fob remote start button), lock and unlock remotely via FordPass, and track where the vehicle is, and honk the horn and flash the lights with FordPass. Also, there are no lights when trying to enter the...
No, it has NOT been "fixed" in 2025 models. The AGM is somewhat less susceptable to low discharge damage, but not immune. There are those with 2025 hybrids having the deep sleep problem as reported on several Facebook Maverick groups.
Agreed. It is rediculous that Ford devotes so much effort into redesigning the Maverick front end and dash instead of devoting those efforts into quickly fixing known defects. Also, the Maverick hybrid doesn't have a traditional 12v starter motor run off the 12v battery. The 12v battery simply...
Did our first at 3,000 miles to take care of removing anything from the breaking in period. Then doing every 5,000 miles, or 1 year, whichever comes first.
What the notification has told you is your battery has dropped to less than 12 volts to an approximately 25% charge level. Essentially discharged. This is NOT a "feature". It is NOT "saving" the battery. Leaving a vehicle battery, be it a flooded lead acid battery, or AGM style, in such a low...
This whole thread is ridiculous. To expect an owner of a Maverick Hybrid to go out and have to buy a charger and plug their vehicle in at night is rediculous. We didn't buy a stupid plug in EV. That is just a bandaid approach to a bleeding artery. Ford has known about this problem since the...
Your 12v battery is failing just like the rest of us are experiencing. When the battery starts to die from sulfation it only charges up to just shy of 12 volts. When the battery sits for a few minutes or so it can drop to 11.5 volts when the deep sleep problem occurs that unfortuanely stops the...
Supposedly, according to Ford, they are modifying the charging circuit and should release a recall notice before the end of March. If I had the answer, I would expect that Ford would want to hire and pay me. They have had engineers there at Ford and the Maverick has had this serious problem...
I don't have one, but I always thought of the Lexus grill looked like an hourglass. I think that is appropriate, imagining watching the sand drop from the top to the bottom hoping that when the time runs out they'll hire a designer to redesign the ugly front end. I wonder if the Lexus hourglass...
You likely need to adjust your top so that it seals completely at the front and the tailgate. Many I have seen have the cover too far forward toward the cab. It needs to be slid back a bit from what you would think it should so that it also seals tight against the tailgate. We get no water...
The Ford tri-fold badged as a Ford and sold by ford is manufactured by Advantage. You can only buy it at a Ford dealership, the manufacturer does not sell it retail elsewhere. It has nothing to do with BakFlip and Rough Country. It is the Cadillac of tonneau covers for the Maverick.
Thank goodness the state of Utah does not have front license plates effective January 1, 2025. If an existing vehicle has one, they can remove it. They are now only issuing a rear plate. The front end of the Maverick looks so much better without an ugly license plate staring back.
Why is it considered "hate" and somehow wrong to express one's opinion that Ford really messed up with the redesigned front facia on the 2025 Maverick? This is not much different than when Ford decided to come out with the awful design of the 1997 F-150 with the hideous sloping front hood. That...
Properly installed the Ford badged hard folding tonneau cover does not leak. Been in heavy 🌧️ rain and automatic carwashes and the bed stays bone dry. I think most people down get the seal even all the way around.
Not sure what you mean about your top having latches that bend the bed? There is nothing on the Ford cover that could in anyway bend the bed, so no such thing with the Ford Tonneau cover. Really like that you can reach the cables to release each segment from either side of the vehicle. Also...
We also have the quality one direct from Ford and if you adjust the cover back so it seals the tailgate and the front there is absolutely no water intrusion into the bed. I have seen several non ford ones and they adjust them too far to the front of the bed. Try shifting it back so it is seals...
Is your tonneau the geneuine Ford hard folding. If you have mounted it properly it seals completely on all sides. If it is that cover, you need to shift it to the rear until it seals against the tailgate. I keep hearing others say theiur leaks there. If you adjust it there it seals at the front...
