  1. The 12 volt battery saga continues (Deep Sleep)

Just the fact that they included the 2025 model year up to a very specific build date is evidence that they likely determined that physical vehicle hardware, as well as programming was necessary to solve the deep sleep problem. Since 2025 models all came with AGM batteries and they have included...
  2. Hard Tonneau Support rods?

The Ford badged folding hard tonneau doesn't use those mickey mouse foam pads. The tonneau folds up against the back of the cab. The back of the cab has plastic bump outs (tabs) that the tonneau rests against. The tonneau never touches the glass at all. You can see the tabs it should rest...
  3. Hybrid fuel mpg

Our state's freeway speed limit (except in the denser metro areas) is 80mph. If someone drives 60-65 here, they'll be run over.
  4. Very expensive to insure the Maverick

We went with Progressive. Here is our coverages and cost. This $649 is our annual premium from November 2024 through November 2025. We prepaid the entire premium last November. This includes a $500 deductible on both collision and comprehensive, and $0 deductible on glass. We have a 2023 hybrid...
  5. Leer HF650M Tonneau Cover HALF PRICE at Amazon

Our tonneau is badged Ford. Ours we ordered through our local dealership, from the Ford online parts catalog, back in 2023. The instruction sheet shows the manufacturer as being Advantage. If you go to the Ford parts website you will see it also calls it out as an Advantage brand. Many of the...
  6. Leer HF650M Tonneau Cover HALF PRICE at Amazon

Bakflip does NOT manufacture the Genuine Ford hard folding tonneau cover for the Maverick. It is manufactured by Advantage, a completely different company.
  7. Leer HF650M Tonneau Cover HALF PRICE at Amazon

Hardly think that this one from Amazon is "far superior" to the genuine Ford tonneau cover. By the way. Bakflip is another brand, not the genuine Ford tonneau cover. This is the genuine Ford cover: Maverick 2022-2025 Advantage Hard Folding Cover Bed Cover SKU: VNZ6Z99501A42F
  8. Remote Features Disabled To Preserve Battery Life.

Likewise, we use FordPass to see where our vehicle is, and to remote start. Our 2023 Lariat did not come with Remote Start on the fob, only via FordPass. We shouldn't have to disable features we paid for due to Ford's incompetence.
  9. Remote Features Disabled To Preserve Battery Life.

My call to Ford corporate care is taking place tomorrow. I will post what response I get from them. Also, everyone that has experienced the deep sleep problem should report this, as the post above suggests, to the NHTSA. Having the 12v battery being killed by the lack of properly recharging is a...
  10. 12 V Battery recall

The deep sleep problem is not caused by a intermittent parasitic voltage draw. It is caused by the vehicle's inability to rapidly and fully recharge the 12v battery.
  11. 12 V Battery recall

Most likely Ford is just blowing smoke on getting a fix announced before March 31st for the deep sleep problem. It's more than obvious that a true fix will require more than just a "firm ware" update. If it were that simple, you'd have to believe this would have been corrected way back in the...
  12. 2025 Maverick Hybrid engine braking?

I do believe that regenerative braking in the Maverick with the small HV battery it has, does more than what you just said: "recharge the battery a little". I do believe that it recharges the battery "alot", not just a little. On our local trips the gas engine seldom comes on and on the slight...
  13. Deep sleep issues

According to Ford, unless they are blowing smoke, a fix for deep sleep is supposed to be announced by them before the end of March.
  14. 2025 Hybrid. Love the mpg!

We bought the Maverick specifically for local trips as I have a parent residing in assisted living and we travel there locally alot. Have 8,500 miles on the odometer and our overall average, since new, is 42.7 miles per gallon. I'm sure if we added many more freeway miles it'd drop quite a bit...
  15. Is there a way to coax the Maverick into EV mode?

The Maverick hybrid does good job of figuring when it can be all electric versus hybrid (gas + electric). This was a recent short shopping trip.
  16. Installed A Trickle Charger - '24 Lariat Hybrid (Not intended as a "bash Ford Policies discussion starter.)

But a different battery won't do a thing to keep the problem from reoccurring. AGM batteries are obviously not the solution. Plugging in a hybrid (or any gas powered vehicle) makes no sense whatsoever. We didn't buy a plug in electric vehicle. Not spending $200 or even $100 on something Ford...
  17. Installed A Trickle Charger - '24 Lariat Hybrid (Not intended as a "bash Ford Policies discussion starter.)

You truly think if it was as simple as replacing the battery it would have been done by now. The apparent incompetence of the engineers designed a vehicle that appears incapable of recharging its 12v battery. I am holding out hope that they sought outside help in redesigning the charging circuit...
  18. 2025 Deep Sleep Mode

Look up another thread on this. You need to put the connectors at a specific spot because of monitoring circuitry on the vehicle.
  19. 2025 Deep Sleep Mode

Walking into a dark parking lot and trying to the keyfob to open the vehicle only to find out no external or internal lighting is on, is a safety issue. I never said ALL 2025 models are affected. I simply brought up that they are certainly not immune from the problem.
  20. 2025 Deep Sleep Mode

I have now counted eight people with 2025 hybrid Mavericks with AGM batteries now having the deep sleep battery problem. So, no, Ford has done nothing to solve this safety problem that has existed now in all model years of the Maverick. The only thing that changed was they changed the verbiage...
