    The lesson here is ā€œDealers don’t know enough to be helpful.ā€ Ordering another one from a different dealer might have gotten you a truck. It might have been a Toyota or a Nissan, but it beats walking.

    I didn’t order anything pre-delivery, mainly because I didn’t know if the dealer would try to extort too much from me. Then I didn’t order anything after deliver, either. Nothing was needed.

    Where did you get this information? I just read an article that says supply chains are improved, although there are still some specific problems. Some chip makers are reporting that sales estimates for the near future are down due to stabilized demand. Helicopters?

    Nah, people would argue that it’s inadequate, and things would change such that the plans don’t work out anyway.
