More like four and a half minutes tops for this one. And if you’ve never seen a total eclipse, I can understand your reluctance. But believe me, a total eclipse is the most awesome natural event you’ll ever have the chance to witness, by far. Unless you count the ones that might also kill you. 😱

If the weather forecast looks good, I plan on driving out from Oregon to West Texas to see it. No doubt I'll encounter a million others who have the same idea. But if I make it, it'll be my third total eclipse. Here is a photo I took from the 2017 eclipse in central Oregon.
