I wound up going to the LA Autoshow over the weekend and had a chance to see some Mavericks and got the official stamp of approval from my brother. He does seem to like Area 51 more than Cactus Gray and my decision on it was about a 50-50 one between the two colors.
I received an unsigned copy of the order form, but they did have me sign their copy of the order form. I was assured by the manager the placed the order for me that they would honor the MSRP price, however, I am also considering going back and asking for a copy of the signed form.
I got the XLT lux package on my Maverick for the power driver's seat, but also it gives the passenger seat height adjustability as well. I also wanted the spray-in bed liner with the Ford logo as well as the leather steering wheel. I test drove the XLT lux package Maverick after I ordered mine...
I also received a confirmation email within the first 24-48 hours. The manager that entered my order on 09-29 told me that they were pushed from Jan-Feb to Feb-Mar. Then again, I'm now expecting it to be delivered sometime in March to be honest.
I was able to test drive an Ecoboost version of the XLT with the luxury package and I really did like it. The space in the front felt more roomy than my Toyota Tacoma and the back seat is actually usable which is great. The seating position is not too high up and there is plenty of headroom...
I had quite the weekend. Spotted my first Maverick in the wild on Saturday that was not at a dealership. It was a Cyber Orange FX4 pkg. I was also able to see my first Cactus gray Maverick in person. Photos do not do it justice, but I snapped one anyway. It was sold within hours of the...
I received an email from San Tan Ford that they received a few dealer demo Mavericks in stock yesterday. I went today to do a test drive and there were two XLs and one XLT. They were all Ecoboost models, but only one was AWD. I test drove the XLT due to it being equipped very close to what I...
I also received an email from San Tan Ford as well. I stopped by earlier and saw a Cactus Gray one and a White one in stock. I am going back to try to test drive one now so I can get an idea of how it drives.
I'm getting MSRP at this point on the order, I do think there may be some negotiating when it is delivered, but my dealership stated that they will not do a markup on a factory order. The Maverick they had on the lot sold within 48 hours for $3k over MSRP.
Yeah, they wanted a $500 refundable deposit and took a copy of my DL. It varies on the dealership, some want not deposit or $100, and others want $1000. I'm ok with it being in the middle, as long as it is refundable, then I'm ok with it.
I just ordered a 2022 Ford Maverick XLT with Luxury Pkg from SanTan Ford in Gilbert, AZ today, 09/28/21 . No build date or delivery date at this time, but the dealer estimates delivery timeframe of around late February to late March.
I have officially done it now. I have placed a deposit down on a new 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid with Luxury package in Cactus Gray. I ordered it at SanTan Ford and was informed that the estimated timeframe for delivery is going to be either late Feb or sometime in March. I also found out that...
I happened to go to SanTan Ford to check out the XL Ecoboost one they received and it was taken on two test drives during the time I was there looking at it. One of the sales guys stated that it already had 800 miles on it, but it was nice to finally show my father so I could get his thoughts...
I unfortunately forgot to ask the trainer where they were going next, but I think they they will definitely get to a dealer or two in Tucson. I had to drive 50 miles to go check the Maverick out, so they may still go to one or two dealers closer to me before heading down towards Tuscon.
I made it over to Sanderson Ford to look at the Maverick. I was luckily able to spend about 45 minutes to an hour looking, sitting, and walking my way around the truck. I do like the size of it, especially regarding the interior space and utility of the truck. The Alto Blue is nice, but a...
I looked at the same exact Maverick and I was quite impressed with it. I am still on the fence on which trim to go with, but I'm thinking either XLT hybrid with lux package, or maybe a base Lariat hybrid. Gonna keep an eye on Shay's content on the Maverick.
The link below shows the form to fill out to sign up for the X-plan. According to the document, it seems that you need to own at least 100 shares of Ford and have ownership of it for 6 months before being eligible...
