  1. Where to find reverse light wire

@TimeOutside On mine (also a Hybrid Lariat) I picked up the reverse light wire (wired into the 7-pin connector) from the Maverick LH tail light. Spliced it into the wire right behind the light, make sure you make clean connections and heat shrink appropriately. And use proper protective...
  2. Random Double Honk - Why? And how to turn it off?

@HeyBales @Tom 71 Maverick 24 In my opinion the sheer quantity of chimes and beeps and honks and visual warning messages has gotten way out of hand. Some you can't even tell what they are for, at least not at first glance (hence this OP). And I'm likely not the only one feeling this way. The...
  3. Random Double Honk - Why? And how to turn it off?

@Potatomafia I have a Lariat with push button start so I typically have the key fob in my pocket. However, it could be that when opening the door I accidentally tap the lock button next to the door handle? The one thing I noticed is that this double honk typically happens when I'm somewhat...
  4. Random Double Honk - Why? And how to turn it off?

I have a 2022 Hybrid Lariat with Lux package and all the 360 driver assist bells and whistles. Very happy with the truck, now with 62k miles. In Forscan I turned off the "normal" double honk when exiting the vehicle with the vehicle still on. This tweak works as expected. When dropping off my...
  5. Changing to AGM

@OneAlienBoi I don't think the order of things really matters here. Cheers!
  6. Changing to AGM

@JimInWI @Bear I charged the new AGM battery to full on the workbench, and then installed it into the truck. Then I reset the BMS: 1. Turn key on (or push start button) WITHOUT your foot holding down the brake. So you're in ACC mode. 2. Flash high beam headlights 5 times. (Usually pull back...
  7. Changing to AGM

@JimInWI The Hybrid technically doesn't care about CCA (cold cranking amps) as that is really only important for the Ecoboost models with a starter motor that is powered from the 12V battery. For the Hybrid you really only care about RC (Reserve Capacity) as the systems onboard (key fob...
  8. Replacing 12V before it goes bad

@OneAlienBoi I put a (drop-in) Group 140R AGM battery in mine 15k miles ago and haven't had deep sleep issues since. 12V system now works as expected. see below thread: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/changing-to-agm.55115/post-938486 Cheers!
  9. AGM battery for 2023 Maverick Lariat Lux Hybrid

    @ronlennon https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/changing-to-agm.55115/post-939750 Cheers!
  10. Changing to AGM

Drop that Group 140R AGM in there, and put it all behind you (y) Good luck!
  11. Changing to AGM

Any Group 140R drops right into the Hybrid (under the back seat). Make sure you buy an AGM though. That Uplus Group 140R AGM I also linked earlier turns out to be a fine battery and is likely the cheapest drop-in replacement you can find. Cheers!
  12. Changing to AGM

Don't overthink it: just put any AGM battery in there, reset the BMS and call it good. You'll find that random low battery voltage conditions & deep sleeps go away. This is the battery I put in: UPlus AGM Group 140R, drops right in. Zero issues since installing it 15k miles ago. Cheers!
  13. Adding an OEM brake controller to a hybrid

@Barrett I second @The Real Maverick 's notes on this. And as you already noted you want continuous +12V on the 7-pin plug. You can now run a proper 10AWG wire to the 7-pin connector fused at the battery with a 30A fuse. Note that the Hybrid will supply 14.5-15.2V (charging the onboard vehicle...
  14. Opinion on Firestone Destination AT2 tires?

Thanks for your feedback. I went ahead and installed Firestone Destination A/T2s in stock 225/60-18 size a couple of weeks ago. I have about 1,400 miles on them now. Thus far, I'm quite impressed. On-road dry traction and overall handling and grip are significantly better than the (admittedly...
  15. '23 hybrid towing *gulp* 3k

@Hank573 Indeed: on these Hybrids the Redarc brake controller is convenient because it allows for relatively short cable runs between battery, controller, and the 7-pin on the back of the vehicle. Any other brand brake controller will be mounted up front and will force you run all the power...
  16. Why should I charge my 12v battery?

That price includes shipping. $139.99 minus 10% coupon (currently) makes it $126 for a high quality Group 140R AGM battery shipped to your house. That's hard to beat I think.
  17. Why should I charge my 12v battery?

@scotty https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CM3KNG1H Currently: $139 minus 10%, no core charge so no need to send in the old battery.
  18. Opinion on Firestone Destination AT2 tires?

Sam, I'm considering these Destination AT2s in stock Lariat 225/60-18 sizing and debating these vs. Yokohama Geolandar G015s, same size. Leaning toward the Firestones based on your video review. I'm looking for better traction on sandy campsites towing our small camper (we actually got stuck...
  19. Ok, who installed Weize H5 in their Hybrid? we need details!

I installed this one, is a Group 140R and the same physical size as the stock battery so it is a true drop-in (no bending tabs etc). Stock mounting means it is locked in properly in case of a collision plus you'll end up with better physical clearances around the terminals. UPLUS BCI Group 140R...
  20. Adding 2nd 12v Battery for Accessories

@thrukateyes You're looking for a setup not so different from our little camper: we have a 135Ah LiFePO4 battery in there, which is charged from the Maverick Hybrid, directly from the truck's own 12V AGM battery through a 30A fuse holder. Works great. Your idea of adding a dedicated battery...
