  1. Sloppy tow hitch receiver

Grab one of these you clamp it down to prevent rattle between the hitch and receiver. Because the maverick is a unibody vehicle the rattle of the hitch is very apparent in the cabin. These clamps are mandatory when towing with any unibody vehicle IMO.
  2. "Change the Brake Fluid"

Brake fluid has a very high boiling point (400F+) to withstand the extreme heat caused from braking. Water obviously can’t handle these high temperatures and under extreme braking loads the water boiling will cause the brakes to become inoperable. Afaik brake fluid has always been a service...
  3. -

It filters out oil from the PCV system to help prevent carbon build up in the intake manifold. Especially relevant for direct injection engines that are turbo charged The main reason you won’t see one from the factory is you need to empty the catch can every couple thousands of miles and that’s...
  4. Nor Cal dealers with stock?

Customer ordered vehicles are automatically placed into this list so it is likely most of these vehicles are already claimed. You can call all the dealers listed and ask if they any of them are available. A couple other users on here have had success doing this
  5. Talk me off the ledge

https://www.revenue.pa.gov/FormsandPublications/FormsforBusinesses/SUT/Documents/rev-227.pdf PA will give you a sales tax credit for sales taxes paid in another state as long as the state you paid them in will give a similar credit for sales tax paid in PA. The states you would not receive a...
  6. $3,000 OFF - DEAL CLOSED - Fight OFF the Price Increase with Granger Ford

$2400 loss per vehicle is a bit of an overestimate. Dealer cost of an xl w/ awd is ~$1400 under msrp after holdback. Fully loaded Larit Will probably come in close to that $3000. Prior to this past year, dealerships all over the country were selling vehicles off the lot ā€œat a lossā€.
  7. CRAZY mark-up at local dealer

Looks like there is also nearly 3k in overpriced ā€œdealer added optionsā€ on that as well.
  8. Upgrading XLT lights to factory Lariat lights?

Keep in mind you also have the ability to resale the xlt lights. From what I remember the xlt lights actually had a higher msrp than lariat for whatever reason. You probably won’t be getting retail prices on them used but with how popular the maverick is going to be I’m sure somebody with a...
  9. I have both found out what my rattle was and won dumbass of the year!

Hitch rattle is especially noticeable in unibody vehicles. Definitely recommend a hitch clamp for anybody using a hitch in a unibody.
  10. [CORRECTION IN LAST POST] 2022MY Maverick price increase applies to any order unbuilt before 12/27. ALL unbuilt orders. not just new orders

The bulletin from ford said all fleet, retail, and demonstration orders signed and entered before dec 27th will receive automatic price protection. It is very possible the price protection will be an invoice adjustment not shown on Tim’s invoice yet, or Tim’s order may not be classified as a...
  11. Perspective - 2 orders with 2 different manufacturers

Kia and Hyundai are owned by the same parent company and share platforms and technology, but unlike other automotive groups they operate independently of each other. They are actually very big rivals in South Korea.
  12. All season tires or snow tires for front wheel drive hybrid?

Yep definitely not enough snow around seattle to justify snow tires. Just wait tell 9:00 am when the rain has washed it all away if you’re not comfortable šŸ˜‚. I will be parking the maverick and driving one of our two Subarus the 2 days a year we have some snow on the ground though.
  13. Buschur Maverick intake (w/ K&N air filter) DONE, TESTED and PROVEN-data and pics!

Found your other thread and yes I was correct you did not gain 27 hp by slapping an intake onto it. Saying you’ve gained 27 hp is not accurate is highly deceptive.
  14. Buschur Maverick intake (w/ K&N air filter) DONE, TESTED and PROVEN-data and pics!

27 horsepower from an air box replacement? Sorry but that just doesn’t sound probable / accurate. Can you please post your data on this.
  15. Thinking of cancelling Copilot 360 in build after seeing review.

I’ve never used the fords system and his description is a little vague but to me it sounds like he is turning on his blinker before/as he is passing somebody, basically while a car is still in his blind spot, and thus the car is alerting him that if he was to move over now he would collide with...
  16. Photos & Video: LED Luxury Package Lighting & LED Lumen Bed Lighting

wow I actually really like the extra lighting from the Lumen lights. i didn’t order the lumen but after seeing this I think I might pick them up. My vision is crap so I really appreciate all the light I can get at night.
  17. My first complaint..

Unlikely it stays in the same mode as it could effect mpg. I believe EPA requires the vehicle to be in the epa rated mode every time the vehicle is turned on. Edit: it looks like it’s not required to revert back to normal mode, but if it didn’t the epa would average the highest and lowest mpg...
  18. Maverick not truly a Unibody?

Chevy avalanche is/was a good example of body on frame with a ā€œseamlessā€ truck bed.
  19. Tryna figure out if this is legit

Just to further confirm what everybody else has already said, on the maverick configuration page of ford’s website under mud flaps if you click the little ā€œIā€ for more information it also lists the mud flaps as being ā€œlate availabilityā€.
  20. Bought EB and Ordered a Hybrid

A lot of Oregon dealerships register and collect WA sales tax. Pretty much any dealer up north or any multi state dealership family is almost guaranteed to do this as soon as they see your WA license. It’s taxed at your registration address instead of the dealership address though so you can...
