Maybe you should watch this video and educate yourself about the carrying heavier loads. But you are right it can tow more.

To be fair, I have not yet sat inside a Maverick, however based on my time sitting in the ranger I was really disappointed in it. aside from being a little wider in the cab, it seems as if the Maverick cab is roomier for legroom, headroom and to me that is more important that better towing numbers.

I have seen around 5 or 6 in my area driving around, but have seen way more than that come and go from the dealer lot I pass by daily.
