  1. CV axle fix MIGHT be coming soon

My EB started to vibrate a few months ago. Dealership wouldn’t cover under warranty because of my 1” leveling kit. I paid up for Tremor axles. As a goodwill gesture dealer took $150 off labor and gave me another $160 in points. Although it cost me money I’m much more comfortable having...
  2. A/C Drainage

Will attempt this Saturday and post results. I wish Ford would have used a simple rubber tube exiting the skid plate like every other vehicle I’ve owned.
  3. A/C Drainage

Thanks Glen Baker. I found that to but was hoping it was just a Hybrid thing. Sounds like a PITA. Wish me luck!
  4. A/C Drainage

Good to know, I was afraid I would have to mess with the side panels.
  5. A/C Drainage

It’s been humid, 67%-80%. I’ll getting underneath the truck this weekend to investigate.
  6. A/C Drainage

You’re right, I did search too and could only find Hybrids so I was hoping for Ecoboost related advice. If line was blocked wouldn’t cooling performance be reduced? I haven’t experienced that.
  7. A/C Drainage

First off, two weeks into a heat wave, I’m impressed with the Mavericks A/C performance. My concern is every vehicle I see has the typical condensation puddle underneath. Not me, bone dry. I’ve checked the cabin air filter, footwells and ran my hands across both sides of splash guards...
  8. What's your oil consumption like?

Somethings wrong. I don’t log a lot of mileage on my Maverick so I change oil based on season rather then mileage. Two oil changes a year with roughly 3k miles per change. I have never noted any oil consumption. In fact, during winter my oil level actually rises. Most likely due to fuel...
  9. Recall 25S02 Battery Replacement on the 2022-2024 Model Years

Went in yesterday for rear camera and battery recall. It’s clear on the Work Order that the battery isn’t tested, flooded batteries are just being swapped out for AGM’s as mentioned earlier in this thread. Two months after my 3 year warranty expired I get a new AGM! Cool.
  10. Tire Dressing quagmire need suggestions

I love Griots Long-Lasting Tire Dressing. Gives a satin finish unless you apply a second coat. Most importantly it lasts a long time. A bit pricey but I apply about 3 times a year and my bottle is 6 years old. Apply with a sponge, no flinging or dripping.
  11. Running boards installed. I know ,I know.

I think they look beautiful! Given my back issues I’m looking for this or something similar. It’s your truck, make it work for you.
  12. Paint Touch Up Pens

Another reason to buy the OEM. It includes both pen and brush not to mention the clear coat which utilizes a sponge applicator.
  13. Paint Touch Up Pens

Like he said. I can’t speak to Amazon but this is not your last paint dilemma. Get the Lacquer Touch-up Paint from Motorcraft. I bought my Maverick used from a dealership and they put a new tube of paint in my glove box as a caveat I guess. Haven’t had to use it yet but I’m sure i will. Just...
  14. Best all around "readily available" oil for the 2.0 Ecoboost?

Your specific question is EP or ESP. I generally use EP on my 22 EB. Hell, I’ve even mixed Pennzoil Ultra with Mobil 1. I’m currently using ESP because it was on sale for less than EP. My change intervals make ESP redundant but on that day it was cheaper. I don’t think it makes a difference. I...
  15. Doing brakes yourself

Never did a Maverick brake job but did many others. The last one was two years ago on a Dodge Charger. I used high end pads/rotors and total cost was $500 for all four including slider seals and anti-rattle clips. That’s at crazy inflated Canadian prices. I think $1000 per axle is ridiculous...
  16. Question#1: Do you rely exclusively on the oil quality control to know when to change your oil?

Sorry members, I should have quoted Glen Baker LLC’s response to keep things in perspective.
  17. Question#1: Do you rely exclusively on the oil quality control to know when to change your oil?

Yeah, absolutely stupid. Not just from an oil usage point of view but for battery monitoring/troubleshooting etc.
  18. Question#1: Do you rely exclusively on the oil quality control to know when to change your oil?

The EB has an hour meter but it doesn’t allow you to reset so you would have to monitor and document from time to time. It’s strange Ford wouldn’t have added one to the Hybrid. I would think that kind of data would be of more value on a Hybrid.
  19. Question#1: Do you rely exclusively on the oil quality control to know when to change your oil?

I don’t use the OLM. Not a question of trust, I just don’t do a lot of mileage (7k miles per year). With that in mind I’ve always changed based on season. Fresh oil in fall to prepare for winter and again in spring because winter involves a lot of pre-starts and excessive idling. The last change...
