Since it doesn't look like anyone actually posted anything.
Made a 17mm ball, 1/4-20 threaded hole, and one with space to put a 1/4-20 bolt through
Haven't printed and tested them, just bored at work.

There wouldn't be much difference in reception between the craven speed stubby and one 1/2in shorter. Granted I could care less about reception since I stream everything. in my 2 hour a day commute I haven't used the radio in almost 6 years after the short antenna on my Vibe was knocked off...
Decided to look on the parts.ford.com website and interestingly when you search for antenna's for the maverick you get these options:
This one look like what I want... just don't want to spend $100 on it, it says it fits the bronco sport and mav. Plugs look the same as on the one with the...
I'm interested in the omac one, wonder if it would slide over the factory one. At the very least the way they have the antenna being attached via a wire might be something to look into. I might just make a stubbier stubby one, or one that could fill in the area. Just need my truck for prototypes.
I've seen the pictures of that one, and it is still taller than my liking. I'd like one more this height (want it to below the fin in front of it)
That's why I am trying to figure out the thread so I can design one to be short enough, not concerned with reception, just like the lower...
I'm wanting to go shorter that the craven speed one. Their site has pictures of it on the maverick and it still is above the shark fin portion of the antenna
Now that I have a email saying my Mav has shipped, at this point I will only believe it when I sign the paperwork, but I'm getting the itch to start designing things.
With that said, does anyone know the thread size of the antenna, and the height of the shark fin in front of antenna?
I know...
I got a email on 2/17 saying it would be built this week. On 4/13 the window sticker went live, and this morning at 3:48am I received an email saying it was built and expect delivery to my dealer 5/18-24.
Did you look at the scheduling email sent a few months ago? there will be track my order...
If using Android, try Fermata Auto installed though AAAD, might be able to install Fermata without AAAD but that's what I did and it works on my Chevy Cruze, don't have the Mav yet to try.

If working with a budget I'd recommend an Ender 3 (especially if by a Micro Center and the sale is still going on)
If not working with a budget look towards something with a build chamber and dual extruders. I use a Stratasys F170 for ABS and ASA prints (work paid for it, but would not...
I drive between Romulus and Milford and see 4 or 5 daily. Plus my neighbors grandson has his eco for a few months
Last August I camped in the UP next to engineers that had 2. I felt like a creeper as I kept stairing at them.
Just a FYI if you have existing roun bars and stuff that goes with it, you can buy the replacement bedrock round bar towers https://yakima.com/products/bedrock-tower-w-pad
The bedrock HD tower set clamps are compatible with the round bar towers.
Also now that i have a set of HD tower I might...
Not sure what build surface you have, but every few prints on buildtek, glass and pei I like to do a quick scrub with fine steel wool and then a quick wipe down with rubbing alcohol. As long as things are dialed in, including the extruder bolts still being tight (I've had them loosen after...
Anyone that got one know how long the coupon is good for? I'll be by a micro center next week and could use another ender :) Wish they would run a deal on the ender 5.
I've had my ender 3 for 3 or 4 years and after getting a micro swiss direct drive it is great. When printing pla it rivials...
So you had this one, not the new one being offered? I have round bars and would like to keep with them.
If the older model, do they clamp on fine, or need adapters like roof top ones do? Going to look for a used set as I wait for my truck.
