There is one sure way to know for sure which year it is despite any changes that may have been made by the owner or by Ford mid-year--look at the VIN in the windshield. The 10th character is the year--N for 2022, P for 2023, and R for 2024.
It's not easy to find the 10th character just...
If there is little noticable difference in the vibration with it removed, I have to wonder why Ford felt the expense of including it was warranted? Perhaps more vibration in some installations?
Built a similar snow plow on the back of an IH Scout many years ago. Biggest difference is having 2 braces from the outer ends of the plow to the ends of the bumper to eliminate the twisting effect of uneven loads. Used a piece an steel angle on the bottom for a cutting edge. Worked well on a...
Yes, I see they do. The 270 version with side-opening covers on the front half is interesting. But a down side seems to be only half the bed can be opened for big loads vs. 2/3 of the bed for hard tri-folds. But I like the idea.
I've been looking too. I have one on my 2011 Ranger that does open from the front and find it really handy with a tool box underneath. The company that made mine is long gone so there's no possibility there. If you could figure out how to latch it, it appears a folding cover could be modified...
Farm Bureau isn't giving $500. They just pass out the certificate that Ford supplies as part of a promotion to try to sell trucks to FB members. Ford pays the $500.
I agree with the blind spot mirror if your Mav didn't come with one built in. But I would recommend one of the cut-off versions rather than the full round one. It's smaller and there's no reason to look at the side of your own vehicle in half the view. Available online and from auto parts stores
The intelligent AWD system sends power to the rear wheels when it senses slippage of the front wheels. On dry pavement, you aren't slipping. Get on it hard in the wet so a wheel slips and you'll see power to the rear. No need for it to be locked together.
I'm right behind Zotman at 81 and like GAWAZ I thought my 2011 Ranger 4x4 would last me forever until I started looking at all the new features in the Mav and placed an order for a 24 ECO FX4 that I hope I see before I see 82.
After seeing some comments from time to time saying you shouldn’t really try to tow what your Maverick is rated for, it is clear that some do not understand how the tow rating is established. It is determined from a Society of Automotive Engineers procedure, SAE J2807, Vehicle Tow Testing. The...
Hope you don't have to train the service department wherever you might take your truck if necessary as you did the sales department.
What model Pirellis came on your truck? I have an FX4 XLT on order and would like to know what to expect.
Like others say, I had no complaints with the original tires on an Escape UNTIL they wore out and I replaced them with an upgraded all-weather tire. I discovered I had a different car with the better handling they gave on both dry and wet roads. You get what you pay for.
I have an XLT with...
I'd like to see a video of how the Bobcat extracted the truck. I presume they had to get it turned around somehow to drive it back down. Not something I'd want to try to do--but as an Indiana flat-lander, I wouldn't have made it that far in the first place.
There are a lot of Youtube videos...
