Former Subaru Baja owner (sold it for the Maverick) and SiL also works for Subaru. I would certainly consider a Subaru pickup, but I’m sticking with the Maverick unless Subaru puts out a hybrid or EV. The bed would also need to be at least as large as the Maverick’s.

Because the dealership takes ownership of the truck on delivery. It sucks, but this is how the dealer system works. My dealer was under no obligation to follow any of my requests.

Looks to be a 7 pin towing connector - would they really put that on a PHEV or hybrid system? I sort of doubt it. I'm guessing this is an off-road specific package, e.g. Tremor. Also, what's that plug between the 4 pin and 7 pin connectors?

Seat material really makes a difference. I have the fabric seats in my XLT, and like BJ517, I haven't felt any need for ventilated seats. However, my wife's Outback has faux leather seats like the Lariat and those are killer. I sweat through my shorts on them.

You know, I haven't even really looked, but does the XLT have tweeters? I thought it was just the front door and rear b-pillar speakers.

I'm aware of the powerboost direct replacements, but can't justify spending ~$120 each when I primarily listen to podcasts and NPR. However, the XLT speakers are just terrible and I need something a little better. Recommendations for budget friendly options?

Strange you had that observation. My XLT has less wind buffetting than any vehicle I've ever driven. Love driving it with the windows open. I have the rear slide window, but the wind is minimal with it open or closed.

It wasn't Ziebart. Ask your installer specifically how they protect against overspray. This truck is apparently far more difficult to install on than a bed on frame since a physical guard cannot drop between the cab and bed.

I did a small section with clay bar and was unable to completely remove all the overspray. Plus, done properly, clay bar should be followed by polishing, which I lack the skill and tools to do.

What's the trick for navigating music played from a USB? Can't do it while driving and if you have a lot of music on it, the screen is slow and it takes longer than a red light.
