My 2018 Escape (which I like a lot) will be swapped out for a Maverick in a couple of months.

Not sure if it is the same everywhere but due to taxable amount reduced by trade-in value, based on current calculations my dealer could offer about $1700 less than Carmax and I would come out close to even.

As of today, based the estimated equity value of my 2018 Escape from Ford, and a Carmax offer of $22400 (1200 more than 2 months ago) my spreadsheet calculation shows that I come out about $900 ahead by selling to Carmax rather than trading it in. This takes into account the tax difference. So...

Check with your dealer. Mine looks the same a yours and I didn't get an email either. But my sales rep shows my order updated today with a build week of Feb 7

I did not get an email (at least not yet) but since I was seeing quite a few Oct orders (mine ordered 10/26) getting scheduled, decided to check with my sales rep. for any up-to-date info. He replied that it was updated today with a VIN and a build week of Feb 7. :)
