I've been getting quite a few compliments on my stripes. I put them on myself. I purchased the tape on Amazon and it comes in 150ft rolls at a fair price.. It is Orcal651 tape and if you go to their website you can get a better look at the colors. I used Deep Sea Blue and Silver. While waiting...
I added a bed rug on a budget. So I hit the carpet isle at Home Depot and they have rolls of 6' x 8' outdoor carpet for about $23. I also pick up double back tape and a roll of magnet tape. I also picked up a 7gal tote for my road essentials. Tools you'll need are scissors or box knife...
in the 2 times I stopped by the dealer before I saw at least a dozen different ones (I live on Hawai'i Island) but I've only seen 3 out in the wild..... But this a Big Island!
I'll see myself to the door
(For those that don't know, Hawai'i island is also called The Big Island ;) )
I'm glad to see someone talk about the Hill Descent. I got my truck las Friday and we took it for a drive across the island (We live Big Island Hawaii). It's 20 miles up grade and about 20 miles down grade (about 7deg grade both ways). It would really hold the speed going down. Great review btw.
Just because you can pull it, doesn't mean it's going to stop when you need it to. I work for a rental company and get guys all the time that think they can pull a piece of machinery with a 6-8k towing weight with a 4cyl Tacoma and a bumper hitch.
As someone that ordered in July I really have no sympathy for you. There's a ton of people that ordered in the summer that haven't got their trucks yet. Maybe you should just buy another Toyota and move on.
My XLT/Hybrid/360/Sunroof got moved this week from Feb 7th to Feb 21st build week. I ordered july 21st. Still shooting for Easter delivery date like my dealer told me in July.
Car dealers are like military recruiters, they tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign on the dotted line. The next thing you know you're in a third world country and your wife and Jody are riding around in your new Maverick
