  1. 4000+ mile cross country road trip

Moved it as far towards the tailgate as possible while still making good contact.
  2. 4000+ mile cross country road trip

Close to the bed edge of the cab...if that makes sense.
  3. What's your Maverick towing?❓Show & Tell

This has nothing to do with the Maverick but might be good for a chuckle or to on a towing thread. Saw this along I-10 in New Mexico a while back. It appeared that the Clampett's were moving back to Kentucky with goods accumulated in Beverly Hills o_O😅
  4. 4000+ mile cross country road trip

The only thing I don't use is Lane Keeping Assist...It's too much of an annoyance for me. I love, love, love freeway driving with the Adaptive Cruise Control, only rarely using either the brake or accelerator. I also think that contributes to the physical comfort level with the ability to...
  5. 4000+ mile cross country road trip

I ordered the Truxport despite some concern about the reviews but it has turned out great. As has been reported it could stand to be about an inch longer. I took some time installing it, making adjustments along the way. The main thing I think was getting the weather striping as close to the...
  6. 4000+ mile cross country road trip

Vehicle: 2022 Maverick, 2.0, Lariat, 360, 4k tow, with a Truxedo soft roll up bed cover. Disclaimer: I am not a technician, car aficionado, or an expert on all the nuances of a driving machine. I'm just a driver who enjoys driving, and a nice vehicle. That aside, my wife and I recently...
  7. Lariat Owners: Was It Worth The Extra $$?

Worth it? Every penny! Great ride, pretty little truck which I admire every time I walk back to it in the far reaches of the parking lot. Gas mileage is close to 29 so far (<500 Miles) in city driving, adaptive cruise is great, learning to love the auto stop/start and break hold. The way I...
  8. New Vehicle Glow Wears off Fast.

I could have written this post :)
  9. New Vehicle Glow Wears off Fast.

I've had the Mav two weeks and intend to keep it looking pristine as long as possible. I did the Ceramic coating with a top coat at 300 miles to keep the additional I paid for the Alto Blue bright and shiny and now park at the far corners of the parking lot. Will it still make me smile like I...
  10. Ford Extended Warranty???

Not really on the point of the thread, only on the idea of extended warranty. Of course I was "encouraged" to buy an extended warranty on my Maverick. Deal was 3rd party 100,00 miles for $2900 and sold based on new technology and "only" $290/mo. Taking into account the existing 3/36000 on the...
  11. Now in the driveway

Since we are all curious about the experiences of others with the Mav so I thought I post mine. I've had it a week, only 300 miles but I have some initial impressions. Keep in mind I am not a car guru, I'm just a driver. Also I had many of the features also on my 2018 Escape so some of what...
  12. Now in the driveway

No price increase. The dealership honored the price on my October order.
  13. Now in the driveway

Yes, as I said, I loved my Escape and went with the Mav because of the similarity and I wanted towing and AWD capability. Sitting in and driving the Maverick feels very close to the Escape. BTW I was born and raised a Yooper, now in AZ... for obvious reasons lol.
  14. Now in the driveway

Yep, my tonneau is due in today. Pretty little truck you have there. :)
  15. Now in the driveway

Love the color. You won't be disappointed. It's a gorgeous vehicle.
  16. Now in the driveway

As an aside, my experience dealing with Joel Diaz and Earnhardt Ford in Chandler AZ was top notch, from ordering to delivery. No problem with the price protection issue, no add-ons, excellent trade-in offer, even the finance guy was a blast to deal with.
  17. Now in the driveway

Ordered 10/15, delivered to dealer 2/14, picked up 2/19. I had to wait for the 30-day farm bureau limitation to expire so I could qualify for the $500 bonus. I haven't had it long enough to give any kind of detailed review, but so far I couldn't be happier. The ride is so comfortable and my...
  18. FORD MAVERICK DELAYS AND CHIP SHORTAGE

Dealership visit was productive. My Lariat is currently in Nogales, on it's way to Phoenix.
  19. 2022 Maverick First Impressions Review by Consumer Reports

Personally, I'll take the reviews of ACTUAL OWNERS on this forum over a few CR test drivers any day of the week.
  20. FORD MAVERICK DELAYS AND CHIP SHORTAGE

I live in Phoenix and my wife INSISTS on heated seats for those occasional morning when temps are in the 30's & 40's
