Apparently 2022 manual tells you to only put snow chains on the back wheels (yes, even FWD trucks) and 2023 tells you to only put snow chains on the front wheels.
I'm going with the 2023 suggestion.
I just pour a little of the old gas in with a nearly full tank of good gas to burn it off. Can take some time but it's not difficult and doesn't cost $90.
I had to drain about 5 gallons out of my 66 Mustang that had been sitting too long (varnish).
@unlimited do you know if the owner can add the keypad to an XL or does the dealer need to program it?
I had no problem adding it myself to 2012 Focus SE. I can't find an answer in the manual or using Google Foo.
Thanks in advance.
This is an email from my dealer when I asked about my priority code changing from 19 to 13 and hoping to change it to 10. She is making it sound like the dealer has no control over PC even 10 and above. I didn't think that was the case.
"That is correct, your priority code is at 13 my Ford...
You would think there would be more in Tucson.
I saw one at the dealer when I was there getting a free oil change (didn't know they existed until then). One at the golf course and one fleet vehicle used by Tucson Electric.
That's it.
I'm curious where the water goes that falls/runs between the back window and the tent? Being unibody doesn't it run into the bed under the tent? Doesn't seem ideal.
Anybody tested by tenting in a rain storm or creating your own rain storm with a hose?
In 45 years of driving I have been in 7 accidents. One I got side swiped by someone that thought they needed to pass me as I was turning left into a church parking lot in a school zone.
The other 6 was me getting rear ended waiting at red lights and once waiting for pedestrians in a cross...
Same thing happened on my 2012 Focus. Heading to play golf and get a flat (dash light goes off at 26PSI). Pull into convenience store parking lot before totally flat. No problem, I can change a flat in about 15 minutes.
For some reason the stock lug wrench does not fit on any of the lugs...
I'm curious what is the distance from the inside of the closed tail gate to the trailing edge of the 2X6 slot in the back. As is how large of a box/object will fit between the tailgate and the 2x6 board.
Looks like about 14" but I would love to know an exact measurement.
Trying to satisfy...
I've only seen 3 Mavericks. One at the dealer and 2 in the wild. One in the wild was a white hybrid that was a Tucson Electric Power (TEP) company vehicle.
I'm thinking retail orders (like mine) for Hybrids should be filled before fleet orders!
XL, Hybrid, Hitch Reciever ordered in gray 9/16/22 changed to Atlas after they fixed the system. Here's hoping it shows (if ever) before my 190,000 mile 2012 Focus SE 5sp dies.
I chose the Atlas Blue because the colors offered for the XL are not that bright and I want other drivers to see me.
I don't really appreciate this new trend of what I call "mud colors" like Area 51. It just looks like someone threw blue paint in a mud puddle and stirred it up. To each his...
80KPH X .62 = ~49.6MPH or, easier to do in your head, 8 X 6.2 = ~49.6 not exact but very close.
Actual is 49.7097MPH
I have nothing to add concerning the audio quality I just couldn't take the math guessing.
I've seen 2 in Tucson.
I saw my first 9/1/22 at the Ford dealership when I was there getting an oil change. Didn't know they existed until then. Odd too see it/not hear it drive away on the electric.
Ordered my XL Hybrid in Atlas Blue with trailer hitch receiver 9/16/22.
Saw the 2nd 9/17/22...
