  1. 2.0 EB dead battery issue

Our Honda CRV that we traded in on the Mav had auto start-stop, but also a switch on the dash to disable it. I did that. Apparently the Mav doesn't have that? Did the same with the "jiggle the steering wheel if you get close to center line" mode. HATED both.
  2. Anyone having rust issues with their Maverick?

Yea, this sucks! I bought a 2003 Grand Cherokee out of Florida in 2019 with about 80,000 miles on it and it had zero rust underneath so I took it to Ziebart. Will do the the same with my Maverick as soon after I get it as I can.
  3. Has anyone had Covid? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS]

I hate brain fog! Makes my brain feel like ... jello-jello-jello! You got nailed pretty good, didn't you! Get Rona, get past it, get Rona again, get past it mostly yet its residual's seem to be hanging around too long! So sorry!
  4. 2.0 EB dead battery issue

Yea. kind of like many trucks have a second battery to operate a lift bed.
  5. Has anyone had Covid? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS]

Turning 74 next month. As a retired pastor in Feb of 2020 I was serving a church with a k-8 school temporarily until they get their own pastor. A more than usual amount of students were going home sick. Because Covid was new on the horizon and was not being reported in our area we thought nasty...
  6. 2.0 EB dead battery issue

All of this is one more reason I really do not like having things on your car/truck that while off still require battery juice to stay operative/work/monitoring. It puts a continuous load on your battery and as far as I am aware the constant requirement of power on and then recharging of your...
  7. The Cold, Hard Truth

I bet they saw the writing on the wall and realized they HAVE to shut down 2022 orders in order to not bump into 2023's. But, that may happen now since the reports are out the supply chain issue is getting worse.
  8. Your age / occupation?

Yea, know the drill. Cheater Stock had brackets also: A, B, C, etc. We were D. The winners of each bracket them faced off for Eliminator. There were handicaps. I back up a bit. My brother worked at a body shop and a 66 or 67 (this was in 67) GTO came in after an accident. One ear was...
  9. Gas tips

I don't know if the MY has this since I don't have mine yet, but pay attention to what you are being told your mpg is and you will see the sustained speed your vehicle likes best. I have a 2003 Grand Cherokee with a 4.0 and according to my computer I get 2-3mpg better at 55-60 than at 70-75...

    What class do you run??
  11. Your age / occupation?

My 57 in line to race in D/Cheaterstock in 1967. 327 with about 350hp with a GTO 4 speed behind it and 4:11 posi butt gears and Cheater Slicks. We even took bumpers off on race day. Took Cheater Stock Eliminator that year. My brother drove. He was much better at the Christmas Tree than I was.
  12. Your age / occupation?

And yu be buy-in' a .... Ford?
  13. New Guy because you have TheFordGuy (think that's his handle)

WOW! 3.5 months! Did you order from a dealership that had very few orders? I ask because I ordered December 3 and there were 12 in front of me so am wondering if they build them sequentially per dealer.

I am simply humbled by so many responses. This is amazing for it shows you, even if you did not join, learned its importance. While I want to respond to all of your posts as the starter of this thread let me say in advance for anyone I miss due to starting tomorrow being at home nurse for my...

Interesting "blend"! And I agree, having a drill sergeant in your face - oh wait; can they still do that? - to teach you if you do NOT march together in unison and do your part no matter the background of the one next to you, lives could be lost - true even in my tasks in a motor pool because...

The Coast Guard's service is often overlooked. Wikipedia has a very thorough article on the "harms way" they were in especially during WW2, Korea, Vietnam. Thank you for serving!
