At first, I thought you were gonna mention the Dodge Durango in some type of terrible recall or something. I had no idea that Mercury was the first to use that name. Maybe it's because of the obscurity or also because I'm too young since I was far from being born back then.
In a weird way, I...
So, I'm rolling up to my driveway and had to pull up to the side since I have a Mi-Box storage pod in the way blocking the garage door's reception. After getting it open, when I put my truck in reverse, it clunked into gear which it's never done before. Putting it into drive and park was fine...
Two years in, so far so good regarding cracks but I will say ever since new, the windshield looks like it's been peppered with debris, as if it's been driving on the highway non-stop for years. You know what I'm talking about? It's not totally clear, it's like the glass itself has grit in it...
Has anyone else been experiencing issues with their driver's side marker light? Mine's been burnt for a couple of months but even with a new bulb and harness direct from the manufacturer, it still doesn't work. Granted, I was involved in a minor car accident in late December but it was the...
Yeah, true. But now that many have mentioned it, it does look more on the spectrum of a DOT vehicle. That'll be great for ones who do end up buying it for that purpose and don't have to go to the trouble of wrapping it. It's already done from the factory!
I decided to swing by my local Ford dealership to see what they had. To my surprise, they had 17 Mavericks for sale! 15 new, 2 used. Also, I got to see the new Fury Orange on it for the first time! Not just one but a few! I don't how I feel about it. I feel like it would get old pretty...

It's great to see all these awards it's winning. Just goes to show how great of a truck it is, despite its shortcomings. Makes me feel good about my decision. And it's so surprising no one else has come out with a competitor yet even after five years. I guess the SC could've been considered...
If I were keeping mine, I would invest in it, especially the taillights. But, I'm not gonna sink more money into it if I don't have to. I do want some LED bulbs for the brake lights, at least. Lasfit made them a few years ago but discontinued them. It's a shame because that's what I've used...
Wow! You actually got more than you paid for it. Very rare in this piss poor car market. Just goes to show how valuable Mavericks are. You'll enjoy having a nicer trim.
Just personal opinion, too many badges clutter the rear design of the car. The less, the better. So really, it's an improvement. That's why I'm glad the FX4 doesn't have the tacky chrome "AWD" badge on the tailgate like my first one did.
It's a good thing I converted mine to LEDs a long time ago. Yikes! Just goes to show how hot incandescent bulbs can get. Plus, everything should be LEDs at this point, especially considering the price you pay for these now!
Although I'm not the biggest fan of it, I get why it exists. I don't view it as a government overreach. It was made with the intention of reducing tailpipe emissions and that's a great thing. But for those who have the same level of hatred for it like it cheated on their spouse, it's like...
