Your camera and mine both have a rear cam so yeah, that makes it more involved but very doable and well worth it in the end. I narrowly avoided a head on collision from a crazed woman who veered into my lane on Xmas Eve Day. I ordered the dashcam as soon as I got home. š
I'm still waiting on warmer weather to do the permanent install on mine. Youtube has lots of videos. Be careful installing the wiring in the A pillar as to not interfere with the air bag located inside. Make sure you have a plastic trim tool crowbar. One came with my camera.
The wolfbox is...
Been some debate about that here. Some say shorter times, some longer. Apparently it is adjustable via Forscan. These modern vehicles do a lot of weird thing electrical wise. Not necessarily bad, just weird, different. Takes some getting used to for this old timer.
Looks great, kudos on a nice install. I can see you measured 3 times and drilled once. Man, that project is NOT for the faint of heart. It takes brass nards to drill those holes.
Even with a good charge on the battery, 12.6VDC with the engine off, my blue light was still going off as soon as I opened the door. Today, different story.
This pertains to the 12V power outlet, formally known as the cigarette lighter port.
It is documented here as staying on for 90 minutes after the ignition is off give or take with a good SOC on the battery. I decided to power my dash cam from the 12V port to utilize the 90 minutes on...
Same here. Used it on the plastic fender flares on my Ranger FX/4. First time it rained or washed the truck it was an automatic see ya later. I tried different preps on the flares thinking it was me, but no joy. I discovered Cerakote and never looked back.
Only 3 products. Cerakote, Cerakote and Cerakote.
I hope others have better luck with the Back to Black or the product has improved as I never had any luck with it. Nice when first applied but wears off quick was the results I saw. YMMV.
First of all let me go on record here as saying I have absolutely NOTHING against hybrid vehicles per se. God bless everyone here that has one. These Mav hybrids are an incredible vehicle and value.
For me, they not not a viable alternative. I simply do not drive enough and will not live...
I can only speak for myself. My feeling is that the defeat button should remember the last setting when you restart your truck. In other words, the A.S.S would become optional. I don't really think that feature would have been too much to ask.
I do think it is able to be defeated in ForScan...
I have to believe that I am not the only one happy to see this ridiculous "feature" repealed going forward. The A.S.S. on my Maverick quit working months ago. Most likely a combination of the months long cold weather and a battery slowly dying into oblivion.
I love these type of threads. Tells me all these dreamboats got a long way to go to catch up to the Maverick.
The Slate concept is interesting but not my cup of tea. No AWD, zero amenities. During the R & D stage they even debated about having A/C. Clearer heads obviously prevailed there.
Why do news journalists always stare at the Orange Juice container for hours? Because it says concentrate on it.
How do you make a journalistās eyes twinkle? Shine a flashlight in their ear.
Why donāt journalists like making Kool-Aid? They canāt fit 8 cups of water into that little packet.
Every time I drive my Maverick it just blows me away how the cheapest truck sold in America rides and handles better than some of those rolling cement blocks that cost 2 to 3 times more than the 30K I paid for mine.
Throw in the Hybrid, which I do not own and the Mavericks easily gives twice...
When it comes to the Santa Cruz I will never forget the day, shortly after finally getting my Maverick, I pull up to the gas pumps and on the other side of the pumps is a guy filling up his SC. I asked him how he likes it. He stutters a bit and quickly makes it clear this was his wife's truck...
