I'm in NY, about 90 miles and minuets North of NYC. We get our fair share of snow down here for sure. I daily drove my 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan in the snow for 11 years before I retired it from winter duty back in 2018. I always ran dedicated winter tires from November through April. I had them...
Looks to be the first, or at least one of the first, images I see of a Maverick with the Molded F/R Splash Guards. Looks good and as petty or crazy as it sounds, glad I didn't remove them from my order. I have time to wait to get spec'd exactly how I want,
It's all relative.
Everyone should do their own cost-benefit-analysis.
I went with fully loaded Lariat build, at around $38K, that was me being super frugal with my cash flow. I had already saved and anticipated on spending around $45-50K for my next long term vehicle. This vehicle needed to...
Don't be roping me into this, but I say Gen Z. Haha!
I would take a factory ST or RS trim level, but wouldn't go out and create one, but to each their own.
Some of us Millennial's aren't broke nor in debt nor had anything handed to us. Lol.
I agree. Price is relative. For me, I was planning on spending $45-50K on my next long term vehicle. Pricing a fully loaded Maverick at $38K was saving me money, and I got a host of niceties. I no longer/ have no use for those bloated midsize and full size trucks if I don't need their capability...
My Tacoma combined average in summer was 19-20.5 MPG and winter 16.5-18.0 MPG (I don't warm up my modern vehicles in winter; start, let idle for 20 seconds then just drive normally). If I drove normally 75 MPH on the HWY, I would still see 18.5-19.5 MPG. HWY doing 55 MPH, I would see 22.5 MPG...
Keep an eye out for:
interior rattles (only one of the three resolved),
howling rear differential (mine replaced twice and about to go back for a third, unresolved),
brake actuator (I'm on my second and still have reduced braking power at speeds, unresolved),
random no start issue (unresolved...
If you do decide to go that route, I encourage you to do a long term test drive. If you like it, great, if not, nothing wasted. Maybe you will have better luck then I did with my 2019. Too much shop time and all Toyota likes to do is deny, deny, deny any work or issues even remotely related to...
I retained them on my order.
They were always listed as late availability from beginning. I see it as a calculated buffer from initial units being produced and going through any potential teething issues to them getting my build when they are available.
I was expecting sometime in Q1 or...
Nope.
I shopped the midsize truck market back in 2018. I chose Tacoma because it offered the most features and was $42K and STILL doesn't have all the features my loaded Lariat spec'd Maverick. It ended up being full of problems. All the midsize trucks, from all manufacturers, are riding on...
My color change from Oxford White to Carbonized Gray a little over a month ago, was only confirmed by dealership. I did not receive an update e-mail from Ford.
My opinion, I have no desire for the Hybrid powertrain at this time, nor do I need 40 MPG City. If that is your situation, then consider the optional powertrain.
