Funny thing about the towing guide, Ford shows the Maverick pulling a Airstream 16' Bambi. Media packets show the Maverick pulling a Basecamp 16'. Both are over on the frontal area AND tongue weight.

To avoid trailer sway you need 10-15% tongue weight, so if you keep the weight under 4k & distribute it properly you should be good. Also check into a friction type sway bar.
