The fact the Mav doesn't have that junk 3 banger more that compensates for some fancy features, That engine is a pile of poo. Look on youtube about it. The guys I watch say get rid of this vehicle if you have this engine JUNK.
NO BUT what I do is get my oil filter from the dealer. About same price I could online. This way dealer has a record of it on computer. They always ask for my name and say fiilter for maverick.
I wouldnt drain/suck it like that with a vacuum up the dip stick . Junk settles to the bottom of oil pan hence draining will do a better job. But its up to you.
There is a metal cover with cut outs for drain plug and oil filter. Plus I did see on this forum were a guy modified his plastic...
Oh I wasn't really interested if the AM parts are covered by insurance just that I could go to my truck if totaled and recover those items off the truck. So I could either sell those parts or put on new Mav which I would buy another .
But thanks for the reply.
Sorry to here
Which brings up a point. I myself have never totaled my vehicle over the many years. BUT if you do will insurance allow you to get ad ons like hard tonneau cover , mud flaps, interior floor mats, dash cam . I sure would want all that.
I get a kick out of those who say I got used to it. I got used to the UGLY.
To OP ,,, Much improved over what Ford did.
Yes some people like the new look, hey some people like ugly. People did by the Pontiac Aztek or Volkswagon Thing, Takes all kinds
Wider snows are NOT better. I would use 225. I have BRIDGESTONE BLIZZAK WS90. I see they make a few version of blizzak now. I would ask them which would be best for YOUR conditions. Tell them what part of country your in. see what they say.
Hard to really get any one person to say which is...
There is a reason to fill the new oil filter. When engine first starts NOW it needs to fill said filter before it delivers oil pressure to rest of engine . Granted it only takes a split second BUT still. Why not as filter goes straight up so you wont spill any doing so. .
Must be a 2025 thing My 2023 had zero issue with rock Auto tpm's . Did nothing they read after a few miles. Zero issue . So must be on newer 2025 its a problem. Oh I have rotated the tires and no need to do anything they see where they are all on their own.
Just checking as I will eventually replace my lead battery BUT will TRY to get Ford to replace mine one more time,. Maybe even get an AGM next time will see.
BUT this is the battery you got right...
If it was made like that it still would be 25 grand. Car makers just don't want to make small vehicles as they don't make as much $$$$$ . Plus demand just isn't there.
Honda dropped the Fit. Toyota dropped the Yaris, Nissan dropped the Versa Note. . All still made just not sold in the US...
I stopped riding motorcycles as I wanted to LIVE longer. This is just to close to that . So NO. Plus if it really is almost 20 K. I paid 28.2K for my 23 xlt hybrid. That is with all taxes .
Not sure if I am misunderstanding you.
It is without a doubt Eco mode is better around town. I rarely touch the brake pedal as regen does most of the stopping and when I do touch brake its real light so not to use friction brakes. I can accelerate lightly to keep gas engine from even...
Interesting views on slippery mode. I don't do enough highway to see if slippery is better for highway I just ALWAYS use Eco. But around town Eco mode produces much more slow down (regen) without touching the brake pedal generating more electricity charging battery . For around town I can't...
Just a note I myself have found slippery mode on my 23 hybrid sucks in the snow. It just cuts the throttle to much. I found normal mode best in snow. I have snow tires too.
Once just to try it. but not normally. So no. NEVER has RPM gone super high say past maybe 1500 rpm. BUT 1500 rpm is higher than normal . Maybe OP doesn't know the difference. If wrong I apologize to OP. I can even plug into OBD port and use ap I have to see exact RPM if people want to see...
IF the OP is correct on it is applying 100 percent throttle or going say 3000 rpm or even higher that is NOT NORMAL. Period. No way no how that high on my 2023 XLT Hybrid. Maybe 1500 rpm at most.
