Dealer will take your trade but with a very high mileage vehicle they usually turn around and have their wholesaler take it straight to the auction. This isn't exactly a high profit scenario for them.

I think you're being conservative if you're counting on KBB or NADA values for trade. Dealers work with Black Book (wholesale) values in determining your trade-in. My guess is that they'll try to offer you 15 to 17k. The used car market of the past 3 years has been a crazy roller coaster...

He did clarify later that the July 17 date is tentative. Last year we did see it move back six weeks from early August to mid September.

According to Tim Bartz 27:11 , MY24 order banks are to open up on July the 17th with job 1 commencing October 17th.

Hopefully the added factory shift this summer and supply shortages get a lot of this sorted out. Relying on dealers to perform their own customer rollover is just looking for trouble.

It's really hard for me to believe that FMC will send you 45 day updates and yet not provide you a rollover option to MY24 if unable to deliver. It's one thing to not plan on doing this at the beginning of FY23 production but after taking your order, all the apologetic emails to just tell you...
