Bumping an old thread here. Mine popped tonight, and it was quite loud -- scared me. I recently swapped the front door speakers, and unplugged the dash tweeters. I did notice that it was "indexing the usb drive" when the pop happened (I was listening to radio though). I removed the thumb...
Yeah, I was disappointed as well. My '21 Edge didn't come with one either. I bought a set of manuals/folder for an older Focus. I'll just keep the binder/folder from Ford-to-Ford.
Thanks for the info. I have The K&N cabin filters on previous vehicles when available. They are great. They are very sturdy, so they do not allow for much wiggle room (if needed).
Not necessarily. It depends on the item. What do you think Muslogy is (sponsor here)? I would never buy a cheap tonneau cover, tires, intake, etc. (something functional). For a stick-on fender flare, maybe? Actually, I don't think I'd ever get them, but I far prefer the looks of the Air...
I saw these -- as I was looking for a black emblem as well. I was going to just 'dip mine when the weather gets nice. I didn't really like how the letters are "connected together" on this aftermarket emblem. I ended up going a totally different route. I'm going to remove my existing AWD...
Back in the day, I used to put mud flaps on everything. I just no longer like the looks of them. Looks so much cleaner without. I see these Tremor off road videos, and they have mud flaps sticking down. It just looks silly. I know they are somewhat functional.
I too added the Lincoln cover (from Tasca) this week. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase (except paying >$4 for a damn nut). I also added the driver's side fender insulation at the same time. I do plan to add Duraliner to the hood (at a later date). I figure every little bit helps. Looks...
Has anyone pulled the wiper cowl to inspect? I had this same issue on my 4th gen Ram. Turns out there's plastic clips below the bottom of the windshield that are glued in place from the factory. These were initially used to help hold the windshield in place. They are not needed afterwards...
It's Birch. I'm not worried about it. It doesn't soak up water like MDF. Usually I coat with bedliner, but it's winter, and I wanted it done last night (didn't want to remove door panel again). Also, Crutchfields plastic adaptors are too thick. According to Crutchfield, these speakers do...
Have fun. I did my diver's side tonight. It took about 2 hrs. A lot of that time was, making my own speaker bracket out of 3/4" birch. The door panel is quite tight the first time, and I had a problem getting it back on as well. It's best to have window down when putting the panel back on...
Also check out Bulletliner if you have one nearby. I don't have any direct experience with them, but I did some research a few years ago. They seem solid.
Be thankful. You're way better off spending 250-$300+ for a name-brand tonneau with warranty, vs. 175-$200 for an off-brand pos. A tonneau is a necessity for me. I wouldn't want to skimp on a el-cheapo.
