Yeah no contact whatsoever. I guess that’s not important these days.
  2. A Detailers Maverick Experience: Thin Paint, Ceramic Coating, Etc.

Yes, thank you. Was not too happy at first because it seemed like they were trying to paint me in the wrong light but any press is good press, I guess. As a detailer and as someone who has frequented this forum for the last 6 months, I felt it was my duty to put this info out there and try to...

It can help minimize the damage but to truly protect from rock chips you’ll have to PPF the front.

Ceramic tint is built into the tint and it’s going to provide UV protection from within the tint. It is more superior than standard tint. Ceramic coating the outside will provide UV protection but also makes the exterior glass very hydrophobic. It’s going to make it ultra slick therefore...

Depends on your area but I would look/expect to spend $1000-1200 realistically. Could be more, could be less depending on area.

Hahaha you’re very right, my friend. I was blown away when I started getting sent the articles and seeing how they can twist your words. One said “Sub Par” and those words never came out of my mouth. But they aren’t wrong lol. I’ll take it as a compliment I guess lol.

Yes you’re correct. Im not sure that the case with our Mavericks. However, you see it ALOT with Teslas. Body panels that don’t quite match in color (some are so off it’s insane that it passed inspection) or dont quite line up right. So they’re spraying these panels separately and then assembling...

Yea it is. That’s why I posted that report because it’s a good comparison at how paint thickness should be compared to what it can be in reality.

Awesome, glad to hear. I am not familiar with Ethos products first hand but I would say I haven’t heard anything negative about their products. I would keep in mind that a Ceramic Wax is going to be a maintenance product and not something you’ll get long term results from.
  13. A Detailers Maverick Experience: Thin Paint, Ceramic Coating, Etc.

I firmly stand behind P&S Detail Products and I use their sealant “Bead Maker” on EVERYTHING!!!
  14. A Detailers Maverick Experience: Thin Paint, Ceramic Coating, Etc.

No factory wax and thankfully they don’t use cosmoline anymore so you shouldn’t have to worry about that. If I’m going to strip something though, I’ll use Adams Strip Soap.

I do know a couple people in the Reno/Tahoe area I can recommend. I’m also only a two hour drive so it’s really up to you.
