  1. 25% tariffs on imported vehicles

We need to remember that we are only 2% of the world's population. The Asian and European markets sell to the rest of the world, and with little or no tariffs. So they stick plants in America to avoid the tariffs. Guess who's making huge bucks for lower prices to the 98% of the world's...
  2. 25% tariffs on imported vehicles

Why do you dreamers think autos built in the US will be cheaper to build. First of all the large difference in wages, and then the benefits, and then all the multi- million dollar plants that will have to be built. It's not going to happen. This is why they moved there in the first place.
  3. 25% tariffs on imported vehicles

    So much for all vehicles!
  4. Flimsy hood mounting points?

While reading about the Maverick on other sites, there have been issues with installing struts, that it may cause miss-alignment of the hood. There were ways to solve the issues, but I never paid much attention to it, because I had no desire to install them. I would search installing hood...
  5. Minimal Hands Free Driving (Lane Keeping + Adaptive Cruise Control)

And it never claimed to be self driving.
  6. Minimal Hands Free Driving (Lane Keeping + Adaptive Cruise Control)

Now that you mention this, I stand corrected. Lane centering only occurs on my Lariat when cruise is on. Otherwise lane keeping does kind of bounce you away from the lines, and vibrate the steering wheel when you touch the lines.
  7. 5 New Maverick recalls this past week ALONE

It would help to cut down on car theft.
  8. 5 New Maverick recalls this past week ALONE

It would be great to have the option of a manual transmission. Stick it in neutral and go. Just as long as you don't loose the rear seal on the tranny while your towing. My brother-in-laws Miata suffered that fate.
  9. 5 New Maverick recalls this past week ALONE

So why would you buy a Maverick if all these years you've had all this wonderous luck?
  10. Minimal Hands Free Driving (Lane Keeping + Adaptive Cruise Control)

It's one and the same. When you initiate lane assist it keeps you centered.
  11. Minimal Hands Free Driving (Lane Keeping + Adaptive Cruise Control)

Don't be sad, my Maverick does that as well. It's not instantly sending the warning. Thirty seconds---easily doing that before the warning comes on.
  12. 2025 LARIAT HYBRID vs 2023 LARIAT LUXURY w/ 360 (not plus) HYBRID

Don't think you'll be buying an F 150 for the same price. Yes a totally stripped F 150, or a used one.
  13. Minimal Hands Free Driving (Lane Keeping + Adaptive Cruise Control)

It does follow curves very well on my Lariat and doesn't ping pong at all. It lane- centers. I rarely take my hands off the wheel, but I get the warning constantly to put my hands on the wheel, so I give it a little tug. The lane centering is so good, I rarely have to give it any input. I tried...
  14. HYBRID Maverick Has 16.5 Gallon Tank -- tested and confirmed

You're confusing miles per tank instead of miles per gallon. Not the same.
  15. Paint matched bug deflector???

Then you'll get paint chips on your bug deflector.
  16. Had my new 2024 Maverick bed Line-X sprayed today!

Find another Line-x quote, or is max something better than regular?
  17. Little rant Recall - gas tank inspection

Not all dealers have great mechanics. Try another.
  18. What are the Best 2025 Maverick Bed Liners and Seat Covers?

I've been happy with the factory spray in, but I am familiar with Line-x on my old Ranger. It was very good, and the color match is a bonus.
