  1. My first real issue

jsus has a good explanation of what it's like down here. In addition to the non-limited dealer fees and many other charges we get hit with down here. And it's also getting worse with the recently passed (at least I think it was) that doesn't allow manufacturers to impose restrictions on...
  2. My first real issue

I would have bought one of the discount ESPs, but we can’t in Florida!
  3. My first real issue

They said since it is powertrain, it should be covered under warranty. But until they complete the repair and I see the Zero invoice, I will be skeptical. They initially said it was a $190 charge to diagnose and could take 24-48 hours!
  4. My Pirelli Scorpion (stock FX4 tires) wear after 35K miles. How's yours?

I didn't take a photo of mine, but I replaced them just after 30k. The wear was ok, but I got an unrepairable slice in the tire and the wear was down too much to replace just 1 tire, so all four had to go!
  5. My first real issue

I have a 2022 XLT 2.0 EB FX4/4k Tow. I'm at about 39k miles now. While I've had some issues/glitches/etc... nothing too bad. However today I was told that my rear differential went bad and they are ordering the parts for it. They said hopefully in 2-3 weeks the parts will arrive and then...
  6. Beach Driving with FX4 Maverick? - Hatteras/Ocracoke

I've taken my FX4 out on packed beach sand several times, there were a few soft sandy spots and did fine. I would definitely replace the tires and plan to change air pressure if I did this more often.
  7. What MPG are owners getting with 2.0L EcoBoost AWD 4K Tow?

I was averaging around 28 combined, but within the last 6 months this has dropped to 24 without any change in driving, has, etc…. I now have 35k miles, 2022, xlt 2.0 fx4/4ktow the mileage gauge is awful, I find it to be at least 2 mpg off when I calculate myself.
  8. Has Ford "Solved" the Maverick Demand Problem with Higher Pricing?

I use mine almost daily, even when it's hot out (90+)!
  9. What's your Maverick hauling in the bed? [Photos Edition]

A few recent trips for me. I also moved some stools and flipped the cover up, and sone wheels but forgot to take a photo! 75” tv fits just fine! Maybe I could’ve bought the 86” after 🤣
  10. Shady dealer tactics still going strong

It's even worse in some states as a law here was just passed which prevents direct to consumer sales and prohibits manufacturers from punishing dealers over pricing! Basically strengthening our current franchise laws and preventing manufacturers like Ford from even doing anything.
  11. Hauling my kayak

No, I haven't had an issue. I'm more on smaller roads with little traffic when I have this setup but I do make sure my side is clear before making any turns!
  12. Annoying thing about the Maverick- bed length too short

I resemble that remark. It's great at hauling my kayak, I just use a hitch extender, really makes this thing fly.
  13. Rear bumper cover part number

I need one of these as well. But a new one from Ford for $600, I'll just wait until I can find one.
  14. What's your Maverick hauling in the bed? [Photos Edition]

Just picked up 5 33" tires. I removed the diamond back cover, all five wheels fit in great with room to spare!
  15. My 25,000 mile / 1 year XLT review

Removing isn't so bad, as once you remove the two top panels (about 5 mins or less total) which each have two shocks to pop out, then lift fully and slide out, pull down an put aside. The middle section then has four bolts, two on each side with a clamp to remove. Assuming you have the socket...
  16. Gift for getting the airbag recall repair done.. YETI tumbler!

I'm still waiting for the parts, last I checked they said they expect to have them Jan 2023.
  17. My 25,000 mile / 1 year XLT review

Awesome. If I keep up my schedule I should be there at the end of the year! Of course if my Bronco ever shows up, I'm sure the mileage will drop!
  18. My 25,000 mile / 1 year XLT review

The radio in the Lariat is much nicer. My sister has that and it is clearer, maybe subjectively better sound and definitely much less glitchy. I agree on the plastics, I bump the door with my keys in hand and there's a scratch :) It's an everyday vehicle and I'm always tossing stuff in there...
  19. Maverick w/ 4K Tow Package towed 3 different trailers in 9 days over 3500 miles

Great write up and experience in towing. I know what you mean regarding those hills on I-77!!
  20. My 25,000 mile / 1 year XLT review

That Kayak is about 90 pounds. I've carried it and my 10 footer (40 lbs) at the same time with no issue. This is the Harbor Freight extender and it's pretty hefty. With the tailgate down, it is only supporting a portion of the weight. So I would say it could handle 10 foot lumber, but how...
