At the gas station at my local grocery store I make the same sharp left turn once I'm done pumping and always get the same pump. I can't provide feet but my '24 Maverick is just a foot or two shy of what my '04 Mini Cooper can do and several feet better than my '18 Explorer did.
FWD typically...
Forgot to add, the Cargo Box aint cheap at $190 delivered but it's very heavy duty with zero flex when loaded up with three bags of cement. Has adjustable straps on either side that clip to the lower or upper tiedowns so you can adjust it to stop at the edge of your tailgate, and it can't slide...
Had to share pics of my Rough Country Cargo Storage Box.
Only had it for a few weeks but works great for everything from groceries to bags of cement.
On a drop in liner this thing glides like it's on rollers but with the tailgate closed it rests against the wheel wells so it doesn't move...
Just skimming over reviews on Anazon and looks like most of those either plug into the ODBII port or use a phone app for reference. The OBDII types also provide a tac, fuel mileage, water temp, voltage, etc while the others just provide MPH.
Biggest complaints seem to be lag with MPH or being...
Anyone installed an aftermarket heads up display?
My wife's Santa Fe has it and after a long trip I was impressed.
I see lots of options on Amazon for cheap but can't tell what's junk and what's a gem.
I blame the electronics in cars.
A control module is expensive to replace when a car is fairly new and if you buy used it's a gamble as no one warranties electrical parts. And when it gets so old they're not made anymore, prices double. So buying one part could be half the cost of the vehicle...
As an ex-Flex owner, I will say being in the 2nd row of the Flex is like a limo, and the 3rd row isn't bad either. My only concern would be the plastic water pump inside the motor. My wife traded in her 2010 Flex w/60k miles on a 2018 Explorer which had the same v6 and when I traded that on the...
Am I crazy, or did old carbureated motors during the emmisions days run a hose from the crankcase vent to the breather to do the same?
Maybe everything old is new again.....
FWIW I also have the Cubby Cup from VinciPrintShop off Etsy and instructions did include taking out the rubber tray/insert from the cubby hole. Mine fits great, very snug but easy to remove.
Had quite a few color options too.
I like the OPs cost effective solution and almost did the same with a 2x10 but decided to splurge for the Rough Country cargo tray. Fits perfectly between the tailgate & wheelwells and even when loaded with bags of sand, gravel & concrete will still slide fairly easily on the drop in liner. Easy...
Kinda sounds like you've got more problems with Ford dealers than the Maverick itself.
If it's not warranty work, I have a local shop that has done good repair work on multiple brands, they do all my work, they're honest and reasonable.
I thought the same thing at first, Santa Cruz also has em.
But looking at how low the tailgate sits, not sure if footholds in the bumper would help much.
Best solution is a portable step about 15" high, I have a 2.5'x1' aluminum folding platform I used for field work, long enough that you've...
Someone here posted a step by step on replacing the rear safety bar with one that has a square hitch, first step was removing the bumper. If you can find that thread you might find what you need.
Doesn't look like they changed much for '25, from the side it looks like the nose is more squared off but otherwise just looks like a few minor changes in the upper trims.
A good friend bought a non-turbo Santa Cruz a few months ago, and it's a nice ride. She really likes the hidden storage...
I like it. Not so much for the Top Gun reference (liked both movies but not enough to put a Top Gun sticker on mine) but just that someone took the time to make this as a nice way to say 'Hi' to another Mav owner.
I live 30 min. from Travelers Rest and if I find one on my truck, I'd keep it as...
Good to know, TY for posting this. This is my 3rd Ford with the capless fill and never heard of any of them throwing an engine code or staying in park because of the filler door.
I can't remember his name but there's a guy on youtube that does reviews of Maverick accessories and he reviewed two tents in separate videos. One was a truck tent off Amazon for a 4' 7" bed which seemed to fit the Maverick well and had a lot of headroom and a short entryway that extended over...
In my area (upstate South Carolina) we've seen an influx of people from other states who probably have much more disposeable income than average. Several people I know who have either become realtors or tried to buy a new house tell stories of new homes selling in hours for way above asking...
Love it or hate it, at least Sport mode makes a noticeable difference.
To me it does seem to keep the 2.0 eco in it's noisiest/ shakiest mode, kind of annoying for around town driving. But keeps the turbo spooled up so it does its job.
Love the fact it defeats the Auto start/stop.
I work from...
