  1. Is there a way to turn off the heated seats?

If others are driving my car they may turn it on and wonder why they cannot feel any heat, and my wife always plays with the controls - heat, radio, vents, whatever. She is too hot, she is too cold, the air is blowing the wrong way, etc. If I can disconnect it that is one less thing she or the...
  2. Is there a way to turn off the heated seats?

I put heavy seat covers on the front seats and they insulate so well that the heated seats do almost nothing. I do not want someone to turn on the seats and just leave them on, so I thought the best thing is to go in the menu on the dashboard and turn them off. Is this possible?
  3. How much did you pay for your brand new 2025 Maverick?

They will add taxes like any other transaction. And title fees and other stuff like that. You cannot get away from those fees. If you can pay cash, then you want to do that. Why pay for a loan if you will pay it off anyway. I bought my car with a loan since I bought it across state. I told...

  9. Mixing regular and premium gas

I use 87 in my EB truck and 91 in my snowblower and lawnmower. The extra 91 at the end of the season goes in the EB and mixes with the 87. It is just gas.

I turned it off or changed my CoPilot to minimum. My wife hates it in her car, so I do not want it in my car. It can be very annoying.
  11. Help me choose 25' Maverick XLT FWD or AWD

My seat covers are padded, so they are pretty thick. I tried the seat heater and did not even know it was on, so the extra padding blocked the heat.
  12. Help me choose 25' Maverick XLT FWD or AWD

The seats are cloth. If you get seat covers you have essentially cancelled out the heated seats, but the car heats up pretty fast, so no loss.
  13. Parking Lot Commandos: Door Dings

I see you parked a mile away and there is another car right behind you. I try to do the same, but I can park in the far corner and someone will park next to me or in front of me. I prefer not backing up so I park so I can go forward and they will park in front of me and have 5-6 spaces empty...

  17. Tariffs on cars trucks built in Mexico [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

I am not worried about it because it has not happened yet. How much pull do American automakers have with Trump? I would be more worried about tariffs on parts that are not made in US. I also understand the purpose of tariffs, but if you make them too high and American business cannot respond...
  18. Snow and Front Wheel Drive

69 years old and driven in snow all my life. FWD means all the weight is in the front and none in the back, so you have no traction in the back. Never had to change tires. Just use all season radials. Most important is be aware that you will lose traction in snow and ice. The car or truck...
