I pulled a fully loaded 8 foot x 12 foot U haul trailer from Indy to Boston for my kid. I also have a 2023 FX4. Hardly noticed the trailer was back there. Your experience was almost exactly the same as mine.
I see they changed their website. I cannot find an e-mail for Ryan. Must be somewhere.
I can find Ryan's name and it is connected to Mabett, but no way to contact him other
than to send a message to Mabett, but I do not know if he will ever see that message.
What is a DM? Same as IM?
I attempted to send @MABETT an e-mail through Gmail. It was rejected and Google did not give
me a clear reason why. I lost my instructions for one of their products and I was trying to get that
information.
Was I sending it to the wrong address? It appeared to be their website.
Thank you.
Dave
Do you leave it on all the time or just push the button when you want to see behind you? I can see leaving it on forever and putting it down low so I can just look down and see behind me.
What is a rear cab roof protector? What does it do? Is there a picture of it not on the roof.
From what I can see it is just another piece of plastic you can stick on the roof and its only purpose is to sat you have something Joe does not have.
I hope you can see the difference. The upper photo is from another post and there is only about an inch from bolt to bend. On the lower photo you can see on my truck it is more like 2 inches.
Looking at this picture where the bolt is. My hole in the frame is about an inch higher than this one. My truck is an FX4. I probably need to drill a hole a bit farther down to get this bracket to fit. Hopefully Ryan will see this and they can make brackets a bit longer for those that need it.
I bought this kit about 8 months ago and then winter hit. Not sure if I can make it work with the FX4. The holes for the wiring are not the same. Time will tell. Thank you for the note about the videos.
Did anyone ever make a you tube video of how to install Mabett's product above the exhaust pipe? Some of these directions
are hard for me to understand and the diagram is not helping a lot. Now I see the issue. The diagram shows the muffler and exhaust pipe on the passenger side of the car...
Am I cross eyed or what? That looks like they are putting a mudflap in front of the rear tire. I have always put mudflaps behind the tire. It seems like all other manufacturers are also making mudflaps to put behind the tire. Is this something new? Thank you.
Rustoleum Rust Reformer should work well. Helps to prevent rust and converts rust to a more stable surface. I still need to install mine. Maybe tomorrow.
