I work at a ford dealer, doing a Lin would be easy, I’m just wondering if the module in the headlight would fail to communicate with the BCM since it technically is a different light, except the drl, which I would repin the circuit to get correct signal.
Has anyone swapped lariat headlights into an XL/XLT? I know I have to tap into the splice that sends the DRL circuit to the low beams and send it to the actual running lights on the lariat. I’m concerned you have to do a LIN when installing new headlights, has anyone done this and were you able...
The escape one is supposedly discontinued from ford, which is why I said what I said about being impossible to get. The Lincoln one fits, but if course has a Lincoln emblem. I’d very much like to find a ford one. But yes I have been and will keep looking.
I was able to find some information thanks! Must’ve been a phone glitch or something when I tried searching earlier. Now I’m on the hunt for the elusive engine cover haha. Odd thing to be discontinued after being used up to 2021 on several vehicles.
Can you provide the part number to the 2.0 engine cover you got? Are there tabs present already or so we need to buy those as well? I haven’t looked under my hood so much so can’t recall if they’re there. Thanks!
I was recently watching a comparison video on a maverick vs Santa Cruz, the reviewer stated that you can fit a bronco sport hood insulation pad onto a maverick. Has anyone tried that, and does it work? Video link here: around 10 minute mark:
do you mean to physically swap modules from one vehicle to another? Yes, but it would need to be flashed with the correct vin to have proper software. Strategy number to gain access using forscan? Yes that should work just fine.
Sorry for not updating everyone! I was in contact with a developer, he gave me a PCM strategy for a Mach E and I was able to get in. For those with an older update of forscan, try NZ6A-12A650-HC. I did that and got everything I wanted working.
Thanks for working with a developer to get...
I’ll upload some video samples for those interested. I’ve heard others talking about it so I wanted to give it a try. Of course I lent out my old obd to usb adapter and had to order another one haha.
I am waiting on a new forscan adapter to come in the mail for my laptop. Before I go to swapping speakers I’m going to disable the factory EQ which is all over the place. I’m also going to change the settings to send full sound to the Rear speakers, not just tweeters as it is now. I’ll update...
I saw somewhere that license plate bracket was no longer a standalone option. Does this mean they are going to start installing from the factory? I’d like to forego it entirely but order sheet has no option.
