VW sent out a similar email today. Except, I orders that last week, and the ford 3 months ago. Ford fail.

That’s not entirely true, and I appreciated the post. It’s good to know what other people are doing sometimes, and this is really the only place to air that information.

My two cents - Yes it’s a truck, and there are bigger concerns in this world. But, we all went in and got duped by Ford and (some) shifty dealers. This is capitalism so - they get to back out of a non-binding deposit we put down, and we get to take our money from their stock and bash them...

That was kind of my thought too. I used to laugh about 50k trucks - and then they tell me I can by their “truck” for 50k….. nahhhh. Now, I’m prepared to spend 36k on my Maverick, but, I really like their design and how it looks… whereas I think the Santa Cruz kinda looks … meh.

I know - it wasn’t that I wanted it, I just want a truck lol.

Where you at? This was just a singular Texas dealership - but, the price just friggin floored me for a compact truck

I’m getting tired of waiting so, I did some Shopping. Found a Hyundai Santa Cruz. Shifty dealer wouldn’t say the price until I got a little Rude about it. 50,000 big ones. 9k over msrp and “changing daily”. I guess I’m still waiting it out for my Maverick…..

With the latest and greatest from for today, quick poll…. Who thinks their Maverick will be built this year and who thinks they may be relegated to “yeah, your order really didn’t make us enough money so tough…..”

I may have missed an explanation buried somewhere else - but, what does breakdown actually tell us? These are weeks that trucks are scheduled to be built, but, it doesn’t tell us what or how may are being built?

I spoke to my dealer this afternoon in northern Texas - was reassured (at least verbally) that my order was based on the n msrp. have to wait for it to get here I guess but…. Hopefully it’s honest. These guys also had 5 hybrids on the lot, but, were all fleet vehicles. - that’s like a Hundredth...

I’m confused by this. What was ordered on 12/14 and had a build already? Who has this and what is trim level? And, do you special contacts?

well, I feel silly. Try to get that Dora. I got the pizza tracker from ford, but, that’s it, no order number from the dealer or anything.

Bob, ordered mine from Gullo in Conroe beginning of this month. Let me know if it comes in or if any up charge when it gets there. I’m hoping I don’t finally get mine and find out they want to charge a bunch more.

Wait . … so I ordered mine three weeks ago. I’m gathering the first bit the dealer told me, -6-8-10 weeks is bogus now, but, are they going to jack up my original price? (I guess this is provided the dealer doesn’t try to screw me when it finally does show up. I figured they’d honor the price...
