If you read the Owners Manual, under Fuel, it states that the EcoBoost REQUIRES at least 91 octane fuel to prevent engine damage, and that 91 octane non-ethanol fuel is recommended.
I opted out of Sync because the version in my '19 Escape was worthless. I was told that if I opted out initially I couldn't get it installed later but I am okay with that, I would like a bigger screen as I have many more apps than the screen can show in two pages but if it means getting back...
Yes please, I like the larger screen BUT I really don't like the look of that installation. If there is a full cover over the back that would be great, but otherwise it is a hard pass for me. The cubby may be silly but it doesn't take away from the look of the dash overall.
Nope. Drilling out the holes would result in weakened steel rims. The holes have reinforcement metal around the holes to support the weight of the vehicle.
The M12 vs M14 studs makes it very sketchy to make them work safely.
look in your owners manual, there is a little white/translucent funnel somewhere in your truck. Mine was under the back seat rattling around. It may be in the pouch that has the jack in it behind the back seat.
It has to do with the octane rating of the fuel as well as the amount of ethanol that is in it. If you get lower mileage, probably using the unrecommended octane rating of 87. Higher mileage is probably 89 0r 91 octane. I use 91 octane non-ethanol fuel in my EB Mav which gives me between 27...
After nearly three months I have my Mav back with all the recalls done. But of course, the main problem of the axle and CV joints was not completed correctly, so it goes back in for a day this Friday.

At first they weren't going to give me a loaner but I went over the service writers head to the sales manager and reminded him I had purchased 4 new fords from that dealership over the past six years and he relented and gave me a loaner, a 24 Escape Lux. But I want my truck back! I just want...
Yeah so I took my Mav in for recalls and some warranty work on Dec 18th 23. Still waiting for my truck to get them finished. One of the recalls had some problems and they have now replaced the BCM, the inverter, and other pieces, and still no joy in when I might get my Mav back. Ford had a...
Hmm I feel pretty good then with my 31 mpg in my ecoboost. 2800 miles round trip to Madison, Wisconsin. Had 230 lbs of self and about 200 lbs of traveling gear, clothes, tools and bicycle.
Good luck with your new truck. If my experience is any portent, don't expect any speedy service if you have electronic issues. Ford is still sorting out the problems they created with the 110 volt inverter. Somehow I don't trust the electric vehicle promise of any manufacturer right now.
Keep us posted! I am told that if an airbag deploys they will call it a total but... My focus was hit harder than that and the fixed it, got everything back in line and everything but I sold it so I wouldn't have to live with the long-term problems is may have developed.
How about squirrels? There are some living in my maple trees I want to get rid of and Idaho Wildlife won't do anything for me, not even give me Humane Traps. Damn Boise Tree Rats.
Great podcast. Wish they would get into a bit of Ford not supporting the servicing dealerships with parts and information. My Mav has been in the dealership for recalls and warranty service for over a month and they are just now telling the dealership they are going to ship an inverter and...
I have an Ankerma
I have an Ankermake M5 and a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon. I am glad to hear someone else has had to learn Fusion 360, it is a bit daunting at 72 but I am bound and determined to learn it so I can produce some engine parts like a better intake manifold.
I have a Bambu Labs X1 Carbon so it prints with PAHT with carbon fibers. I am looking for the stl files from Ford. They were supposedly making the files available to the Maverick club for use but as yet I haven't seen them. I have a few files from other places but so far they all are a bit...
