You have a segment of owners out there who have tunnel vision for nothing but hp/trq numbers while ignoring safety, drivability and the rest of the important things. Unfortunately, they don't learn until something goes south really fast. Hell, even then they might not learn. There are at least...
Depending on location and climate, AWD does not make sense for some.
Not looking at any person, just in general, but I find many people say they don't want or need AWD until the times comes in which it would be highly beneficial. Life isn't always predictable. Sometimes you don't have the...
Good question. I drive mine relatively normally and being tuned, I don't have to get on it to feel the substantial difference in all-around performance. In other words, you don't need to push it. Life is too short.
The story of my life when it comes to tuning cars. Each time I did it, my initial response was asking why I waited. The Maverick has become a different vehicle IMO.
Looking back at car purchases I have made over the decades, I learned a few valuable lessons. The biggest being not to settle because buying a car isn't like buying shoes or a drill.
When I was 18 I bought my first brand new vehicle which was a mid 90's Wrangler. My only requirements were a...
At the end of the day that's what matters. Are the higher packages worth the money? I wanted ONE feature in this truck that would make me go to a higher trim level to get it and to me it wasn't worth it. Everything else (like better tires) I could do cheaper and better.
Allow me a few comments:
I'm guessing I've had my livernois for 18 months and have been a wimp and didn't put it on. Today, don't ask why, but I just had enough and finally put on the 91-93 performance tune and took it for a brief spin. Compared to the cobb tune (no offense) on my WRX, this was...
When this lesson was taught to me, I was much younger, and I vividly remember one of those car shows on TNN probably in the mid 90's give or take. The shows were run on Saturday and Sunday mornings and man, those were good programs. At the time the particular show took two cars to the track, and...
The beginning of the end of the malaise era was about '84 ish give or take. Performance (not just hp numbers) saw a resurgence from the days when a calendar was needed to measure 0-60. The 70's were a very dark time.
That was a very dark time that, thankfully, was relatively short lived. Due to government b.s., the Asians really started making a name for themselves.
Question:
Is that considered a muffler? Out here we need a muffler in order to pass inspection, and I have seen the Borla kit and wondered is it a muffler or basically just straight pipe.
