  1. Where to go for Service in San Antonio Area

I having an awful time with getting my local dealership to get service an electrical issues with my front camera and getting my recalls done. Red McCombs - Says they don't have the parts and will contact me when they do come in (its been 3 months with regular checkin and no luck) Northside -...
  2. Texas Dealers Charging More Than MSRP and Those That Aren’t

That maybe the intention of the owner of the dealership but it seems that the sales people are rotating and turning over rapidly so their eyes are on closing the sale with the highest margin possible. During the 8 month wait for my Mav, I went through 3 different sales reps and the last one...
  3. Responding To Recall Notice From Ford

I'm sure its much more complicated than what we as the customers are able to observe but I am not sure if there is any rational excuse to why you would ignore a customer who is getting a recall done. If done right, it is an opportunity for follow on business which would have been likely on my...
  4. Responding To Recall Notice From Ford

This is my exact experience with the same dealership sir! The other dealership close to me, North Side, was not much better. I requested that they order the recall parts back in Jan when they performed my first oil change and I never go a call back, when I would call in the front desk...
  5. Reports from a salesperson (low order numbers for 2024 Maverick)

I think this is a fair assessment - but if this is what ford is thinking, they misinterpreted what customers were actually doing. I think people pick the trim they could afford that had the luxury features they were used to in their similarly priced sedans which lead them to getting XLT or...
  6. Central Texas Maverick Owners Club

Hey all! Quick question for fellow San Antonio Maverick Owners, what has your experience with the local dealerships when it comes to servicing? Does anyone have a good service rep they wouldn't mind referring to me? I haven't had the best experience at Red McCombs, Its been more than 6 months...
  7. Is the Mav getting a bad reputation for all the elec and fire related recalls and problems?

yah what an awesome dealership - mine said you only qualify for 2 days of loaner based on the recalls you have and we will be keeping it for longer than that.
  8. Front Camera Dead? This is a first!

I have only ceramic coated my sports cars I just went out last night to get it gassed up and it still has the same issue at night =[
  9. Is the Mav getting a bad reputation for all the elec and fire related recalls and problems?

Well my new hellscapse is getting recall servicing done. The kind of lack of regard to help me out is insane. "well call you when the parts come in" It's been 7 months. Not a call and the same response every time I call in.
  10. Maverick sales vs competition so far in 2023 is doing very well!

wonder how much bigger it would be if they actually had dealerships that gave fair pricing to people and offered adequate dealership support. The endless stories of dealership abuse is what this forum used to be in the early days when I was waiting in anticipation for my FE. My local ford...
  11. Maverick sales vs competition so far in 2023 is doing very well!

I think you're on point about Taco vs Mav. In my mind they are almost two different cars. Residual value definitely goes to Taco for Toyota reliability but the Mac is really a much better car for daily driving. As for dealership markups I totally understand all of this is very regional. Here...
  12. Front Camera Dead? This is a first!

Cant tell if thats a joke I'm literally using the 12v cigartte lighter input thats on the dash to power the dash cam. I haven't touch any of the electronics especially ones that would cause the AAC system to fail.
  13. Front Camera Dead? This is a first!

Gotta say I was problem free and very happy with my car and not so happy with my local dealership until now. It's not the worst issue, I've seen first year release of cars have far worse problems so I'm counting my blessings!
  14. Front Camera Dead? This is a first!

:ROFLMAO: no s* But you just never know until you know which fuse - directions in manual unclear. Not going to touch it for now and see if ford will deal with it but im not hopeful. Not sure how dealerships are in your area but mine are terrible.
  15. Maverick sales vs competition so far in 2023 is doing very well!

Not to mention better dealership interactions (at least in my area). You are getting railed with dealer markups at Ford while Toyota dealerships sell what they have (minus the supra they always mark up the supra)
  16. Maverick sales vs competition so far in 2023 is doing very well!

I feel like im falling into dis-loyalty. I absolutely love my maverick but the purchase process and dealership interactions through all of these recalls have been terrible. It makes me think twice. Prior to this I was living in a city and did 3 new car leases all Acura/Honda and I never had this...
  17. Front Camera Dead? This is a first!

The descriptions were not sufficient in the manual - from previous experience tho, even if it passes a multi meter test sometimes swapping the fuse does make a difference, but thats with older cars. I've had a bad fuse once that looked completely fine but once you take it out and really hold it...
  18. Front Camera Dead? This is a first!

Nice! Good advice! I just too a glance at the interior fuses to make sure they were all good but I didn't think to press them in for good measure. Does anyone know what that front camera fuse might be? Maybe I should just swap it out to see if it'll make a difference. Whatever I can do to avoid...
  19. Front Camera Dead? This is a first!

I have not touched or modified this car, thoughts of tapping things into it for the front dash cam did come to mind but I purposefully routed everything to a cig lighter just so I wouldn't have to get into it with the dealership.
  20. Is the Mav getting a bad reputation for all the elec and fire related recalls and problems?

I wouldn't be so miffed if it didnt mean I would have to return to the hells cape that is my local ford dealership! I honestly love alot of the cars Ford makes but almost every dealership in my area is full of dirt bag sales men and service people who never make an effort to follow up.
