Congrats! Lots of luck going around lately it appears. After only 47 days of building, mine finally got finished Wednesday and should be here in a couple weeks.
The “terms” of a loan are the conditions that must be met on a loan, such as loan repayment period, penalties for late payment, etc.
So, for example, in the “0% interest for 36 months” deal you’re looking at, the rate is the 0% part of it and the 60 months part is one of the terms of the loan...
I’ve been in production for about a month and a half, so not built yet, but the Ford tracker has given me two different estimated delivery dates during that time, so it happens.
I mean, the dates are obviously not at all reliable, like most of Ford’s tracking data, but they do show up pre build...
Ford does have reasonable rates, I plan to finance with them.
I've already defended this dealership's deal earlier in the thread.
But still, if I was buying from a dealer that penalized me for not going with their preferred lender, especially if they don't lead with that disclaimer? They can go...
I don't work on cars anymore, so the cost to repair is what I look at it, which is key, since most of the cost listed below is in labor...but not all. Here are the failed electronics I've dealt with on my last 3 Escapes (all owned by me for 4 years and 60k miles or less) in the past:
Throttle...
I abhor overinflated doc fees but I was thinking something similar to this right here^.
Taking 4% off and then sliding in an inflated doc fee is no worse than Ford saying the Mav starts at $19,995 when it really starts at $21,400....I'd actually say it's more honest. 🤷‍♂️
I'm a weirdo because I actually started out shopping for a BMW X3 or X5. I can't stand the size of trucks as a general rule anymore, so I wasn't even considering one.
I do a lot of bicycling, and would be putting a bike rack on it, so once I saw the Mav came out to about the same length as a...
I don't disagree with you but I am gonna get comfy while waiting for the angry fan bois to come in an berate you for being frustrated while accusing you of "expecting an Amazon experience" when in reality, most of us would be more than happy with a UPS or FedEx experience. What we have is much...
I noticed the same thing and have already started playing around with configuring Frontiers in case my Mav deal falls through. Frontier is def more money and a bit longer (my biggest gripe) but sure seems like a superior product, ESPECIALLY the interior.
43 days and counting for me, I went to "In Production" on 10/07.
You may want to reword your post though and only ask those with Ecoboost orders. Folks with hybrids are obviously going to have really wonky "In Production" dates, they started building them months before they could even sell...
You absolutely could be right but I can't imagine that a dealer doesn't have some recourse, at some point, to sell a customer order if they have to store it on their lot for long enough.
If that's the case, then it's just a matter of whether or not 2 weeks crosses that threshold....which...
It could be a chip issue but given how many examples I've seen of poor craftsmanship coming out of these builds, I'm still leaning towards a quasi-recall because they screwed something up relatively major.
Now, I ALSO wouldn't be surprised if I got a call from my salesperson tomorrow saying it...
