Super late to the party here, lol. I placed my reservation around noon on 7/14, dealer contacted me to confirm order and get a copy of my DL by 3pm that day and by 5pm, he confirmed the order had been placed.
I still haven't gotten any confirmation from Ford though.
A lot of this comes down to one's personal threshold for haggling and headaches. For me, I preferred this approach:
1. Pay $35 to the Mustang Club of America for a membership, so I can get X Plan pricing PIN.
2. Email local dealers with your wants and let them respond. For me, I required them to...
Saw this color in person a couple days ago and man, I do love it! Only frustration is how much better the XLT wheels look with it then the Lariat wheels. I really hate messing around with wheel swaps but I may have to make an exception.
I was originally considering the SC but as more info has come out on it, it's less and less appealing. I despise long vehicles, so the Ridgeline was never a consideration for me, since it broke the magical 200 inch length barrier.
I prefer a tailgate pad, which comes in a couple hundred bucks (or more) cheaper than either of those options. The Maverick's 200" is plenty long enough of a vehicle for me, I don't wanna add another cpl foot with a hitch mount rack if I don't have to.
Agreed with others, it sounds like you got a decent deal here as long as they don't try and tack on extras at the last second. If they do? I'd tell em to pound sand and walk away on principle.
As for the warranty, that's a tough question. I NEVER buy warranties on things but I'm honestly...
I've actually been trying to figure out how much bed space a hard roll up would block when retracted and had assumed around half a foot for it. If you'd guess a retractable would only eat up 6", how much are you guessing one would lose with the hard roll up?
Everyone has their own set of criteria, I suppose, cuz given the factory powertrain warranty on the Mav? The only reason I'm considering adding any coverage is for the electronics. Those are the expensive headaches that worry me, lol.
Sorry if this was covered elsewhere, I couldn't find a clear answer to this specific question. I know that, in addition to a slight discount off MSRP, X Plan also limits dealer fees. Can anyone more specifically explain what dealer fees it prevents from being tacked on, though?
My understanding...
I agree that A51 really needs a ton of black trim to break it up or it gets a bit much. I'm STILL debating A51 and Cactus grey but if I go A51, the First Edition package will be a requirement for me. All that extra black REALLY helps.
FWIW, you actually could qualify for X plan if you want, all it takes is a one year digital membership to Mustang Club of America for $35.With that said, I'm still waffling on whether it's worth messing with. Doesn't really seem to be of much help on actual price of car but seems helpful in...
Same here, I plan to start calling around later this week. As much as I'd love to just hit up one of the forum dealers offering 3% under, I'm not sure it's worth dealing with trying to sell my trade in 3rd party, losing the ease of sales tax offsetting with a trade in or the hassle of finding a...
The biggest thing holding me back from putting a deposit down on a preorder right now is color indecision. I've decided that the Lariat trim is what I'd want but man, I'm struggling to imagine which exterior color is going to look best with this...ahem....unique interior color on the Lariat. I'd...
