I had a job in high school making 50 cents an hour in a supermarket. Had an old '56 buick and remember gas was 25 cents a gallon. There were no school buses and Buick saved the nearly 2 mile trek to high school. All in all, times were good!

The truck. I don't plan to keep it for more than two years. My wife and I are planning to go down to one vehicle. We are well into retirement. Otherwise, the truck would be kept well beyond two years and 50,000 miles.

I can verify the coolant intrusion problem. My 2017 Escape with 2.0 had engine failure when reaching 50,000 mi. due to coolant getting into the cylinders. Ford replaced the engine under the drive train warranty. As for my 2025 Maverick Tremor, it will be replaced before reaching 50k miles.

I too have the Ford hard roll up cover. Leakage is minimal. It does freeze up preventing rollup. The tailgate opens when frozen. The side rails for the cover were mounted all the way forward. For my money, this was the best cover although a PITA when frozen.
