Our 2024 Lariat came into the valley through Lithia but the original owner traded it to Peterson Chevrolet with only 9,000 miles on it and we grabbed it the following day. Apparently they decided they wanted something larger. Haven’t had any issues and it’s perfect for us since we no longer...
also had a 1982 VW Rabbit diesel. In the summer on a really hot day I could approach 50 mpg. In the winter when it was really cold 20 mpg was a good day if the diesel didn’t jell. Only had 50 hp. On a trip from Boise to Reno, 400 miles, we hit a headwind and I had to downshift to third gear and...
Had a 1975 Ford 3/4 ton pu with the 360 ci engine automatic tranny and auto locking front hubs and an 18 gallon gas tank. Got 9 miles per gallon! Converted to manual front hubs. MPG jumped all the way to 10! I love my Maverick.
Eco boost and AWD: I’m getting 29+ to 30+ mpg - 60 percent around town, 20 percent rural roads and 20 percent interstate with 87 octane. Don’t see much difference between eco mode and normal mode. I’m satisfied. Our AWD Highlander seldom does better than 20 mpg.
So if the country does go full bore EV there won’t be gas tax to pay for highways. So the powers to be will figure a way to make EVs pay for roads. And I would be willing to bet my Maverick eco boost that the tax that will be levied on EVs will be as high per mile as the gas tax. Electric...
My brother in law was living in England. Decided to come to the US for the summer. Hid the keys to their car (some sort of GM product). When they got back couldn’t remember where they hid the keys. They lived near Cambridge. The option was going to be to load the car on a truck and haul it to...
Stupid review. Nearly all the criticisms are wanting the Maverick do things it was never designed to do. Want a larger bed? Then get a fricken bigger pickup. He says the hybrid is underpowered compared to the eco boost . Then he says the eco boost isn’t as fuel efficient as the hybrid. DUH...
Mileage tax discriminates against us folks out west where to have to drive long distances as part of the daily routine. Drivers in Massachusetts can go from one side of the state to the other in a couple of hours. In Idaho, where I live, our second largest county is larger than Massachusetts...
Took me awhile to figure out what “BAP” meant. A lot of owners seem to lust after having as much black on their trucks as possible which I don’t understand. Just like I don’t understand why even major college football teams think they need to wear black unis at least once a season and have a...
