Mine has the gap near the cab, and it is essentially water tight. Even when I wash it, I get maybe a teaspoon's worth of water in the bed. That may change once the seals dry out, but it's been good for a year and a half in the Florida sun and rain.
That's the one tech feature I think is essential. No matter how well you turn your head, you can't see much directly behind the truck without that camera. I would yell at you about that in the middle of a showroom floor.
I asked ChatGPT if my Maverick could lock its doors automatically like I told it it could, and it told me that yes, the Maverick can lock its doors automatically and that I'm very handsome. And then it said that Ford should appreciate me more.
Apparently, much like the "My Maverick locked itself!" issue, people are talking about two different things here. As dalola mentioned, apparently the issue is that if you turn on the HVAC at all, if it's humid in the cabin, the A/C automatically activates. They're not talking about the HVAC...
My '24 XLT does not work that way. If I turn off HVAC before I turn off the engine, when I turn the engine back on, HVAC is not on. I live in Orlando, Florida. It is ALWAYS humid.
I turn my A/C off before I turn off my engine. When I start my engine again, the A/C does not come back on unless I turn it on. Did they change that for '25?
But then there are the people who use the search, bump an old topic, and simply state that they've had the same problem. I get the impression they don't read anything beyond the first post.
