A1 is wrong more than correct. I got a "Special Field Action 25L02" in the mail yesterday, yet no where on the notice does it say the vehicle it is for. So I did a query on the serial number in the notice instead of going out the garage to check my serial number.
AI comes back saying a...
With the F250 being such a high vehicle vs the Mav, am surprised that the tailgate on the Mav is not worse than it is. As others said, designed to crush to save the people inside the vehicle.
Just back from a Christmas run to western SC from central MA. Ran 8 to 10 over the speed limit on the interstates much of the time. 28.6 on dash, 26.577 calculated. Happy with that.
If you go into and adjust your vehicle calc'd numbers, your dash vs your calc'd will be much closer. Been working on mine intermittently. Have adjusted it 3 times (1st time after keeping track of the numbers for 10 fill-ups, then 2 small changes) and believe I have it about as close as I can...
I use the works program at my dealership but request full synthetic. Was $70 something last change including tire rotation. Have appointment scheduled for next Weds (no tire rotation as snows are going on on Monday) in anticapation or runs north to go snowmobiling.
Half way thru my holiday run from MA to SC. Just shy of 1000 mile jont to get here and 15.5 hours. Will do the reverse on Sat. Averaged 28.2 on the down running at appx 8 mpg above the posted speed limit. Have had for 15 months and hit 20,000 on the way here. No recalls, no service other...
I bought the Thule... The service people I talk to at Thule, before buying, were great. Was hoping to use some of the parts from the one I had on my Escape (cross bars at least), however the MAV is wider so needed longer cross bars. Only parts I could use were the locks. lol Was on my...
I had the dealer put on the Ford unit before I even picked it up. Had it for 15 months (20th miles) and is still fine. Had similar one on my Escape for 3 years and was fine. Had some damage from an accident on the front end. Repair shop removed it from the Escape and put it back on...
Ford left side storage box that attached (hinged) by the tailgate. Works, but it now blocks the light and plug. Also it is in the way if you want to add a board to section off the rear to stop stuff from sliding all the way forward (though rubber map reduces the chance of that happening)...
OUCH... Going to be an expensive winter snowmobiling in Canada this year. Paying $2.729 per Gal at BJ's here in Central MA for 87. My calculations show that your $1.439 per liter comes to $3.921 per gal (us$)... My snowmobile takes premium... No clue what that will cost... Ouch, Ouch...
Looking for someone with Forescan to make a similar change on my Mav once I have put on the snowtires (which are a little smaller and caused the mileage, miles to empty, etc to be off 2 to 3 mph). Live in Central MA.
When I purchased my 24 Mav Lariat, I went with the blue exterior thinking it would negate the blue interior or at least match better and have also added the gray dash mat (to cut down on some reflection off the dash), but now that you mention it, have not thought about the blue interior issue in...
Not a travel trailer, but I tow a 13 foot snowmobile trailer with my 24 lariat with 4K and it tows fine. I cruise on the Maine turnpike at 75 with no issues...
Not on my Mav (a little over a year old), but had an issue on my 2020 Escape. Auto up would fail (drivers door). Would go up to the top and then just go back down about 3/4 of the way. Even if I closed manually, once failed, it would go back down. Found moving it to just shy of topend...
Have adjusted mine several times (back and forth small amounts after the 1st change) with the tires that came with the truck using the engineering test mode and have gotten my difference down to less than 1 mpg most tank fills.
Putting different size tires and adjusting won't really correct...
Big chain Ford dealer near me has one Mav on the lot (possibly others at their other dealerships), Small family dealership I use a couple towns away, have none on the lot.
