They will need a warrant to "pull data", we still have search and seizure rights in this country. Then if/when they have it, they will have to prove it contributed to the crash, not just because it was on. You might want to be more worried about what speed it will indicate or at what point you...
That is the problem. FORD offered lane centering, it was compatible with a trailer towing on my 23, now I order a 25 with a tow package and they disable it and are secretive about it. I bought the truck to drive coast to coast specifically with these options to use in concert. This issue...
If you don't read the entire manual, then you don't know the portions you didn't read, others here would accuse you of " blindly stabbing at buttons and praying for the best. ".
I was going to try that. I have a set of magnetic trailer lights. Maybe connect one circuit at a time, I think it would most likely be the taillight circuit to ground.
I was going to look at RAM or Ford, never Chevy.
But it would have been nice for a returning customer if they informed the buyers of the negative changes. I mean really, it works one year, then too many "cupcake truck drivers" buy the vehicles and can't handle such a powerful machine...
I will not sit in my vehicle and read hundreds of pages, I just won't. Sorry, I come from a different time period where it was unnecessary for the first part of the chapter to tell me not to drink the battery acid. The manuals have gotten so large that the company can't afford to print them.
I am sure you are right, but with any autonomous features there is a chance of problems and legally they all fall back on the driver. The steering wheel is easily overpowered if necessary and a tap of the brake pedal disables all of it. And as you have read, I have used it extensively with no...
If you read and understood the post you shouldn't have commented as you did. Again dealer didn't record that is was working as designed, just the opposite.
The abridged owners manual now supplied, does not include that information.
Yes you are right it did come with a very basic 1/4" thick manual that doesn't cover much and not the 1" plus thick book that came with my 23.
And my 23 Maverick had lane centering with trailer attached, so why can't the more expensive 25 have it?
Basically I was hoping for info on how to make...
Did you read the post? I spent a couple of hours at the dealership when they informed me to bring back with trailer. Please reread and get up to speed.
Hands on the wheel theory will apply to any situation.
Don't forget, a tap of the brake pedal shuts the system off. So all your panic about the bad things that can happen if you continue down the road with a blown tire with cruise and LC on is unwarranted. Unless your from the generation that can't figure out what to do if the throttle sticks.
This post wasn't intended for a legal course on trailer lights. Call your lawyer he will tell you vehicle owner may get a ticket for defective equipment, driver that crashed was following too close and may get a ticket or not.
Lights were operational at 1/2 hour after sunset as required, so...
Have you used lane centering much? My vehicle cancels it as soon as anything unusual happens, sun in your eyes, lines not painted adequately, curve in road more then slight, etc
Lance centering worked while towing on my 23 Maverick, why don't they have a recall if it is unsafe?? Ford is...
I didn't think this would go over well, but in 1994, why did all vehicles require a high mounted brake light? Maybe because that is where most people's view is and not 10" from the ground (trailer lights). Anyway my truck has a triple flash high mount brake light and a mix of LED and...
25 Hybrid with tow package, when towing any size trailer, the lane centering feature doesn't work. I brought it to the dealer, they looked at it for a couple of hours and said everything looked ok and to bring back with a trailer. Until I do, I have to tow the trailer with the light cord...
