  1. Lane centering inop when trailer connected, dealer couldn't fix.

To tell you the truth, I wouldn't know. After driving and towing trailers for many years sway is something that happens and is naturally reacted to. But if I had to guess, I would say it does as it is much easier in my opinion to relax and drive with all the auto features function.
  2. Lane centering inop when trailer connected, dealer couldn't fix.

Just an update for the dangerous types out there. I rewired the truck so as to make lane centering work with a trailer attached. I pulled a camper trailer out from Connecticut to Montana and back, the last part being a 27 hour sprint. It worked great especially toward the end!
  3. Camper Spotted on Maverick

I take my GFC off when I need to. I like having it on because I can lock items in the back, but yes it limits the size of the items. You may want to talk with people that have put miles on the TukTuk as it looks pretty high and a lot of wind to push out of the way. As far as the sink, I have...
  4. DOES MY MAVERICK SNITCH ON ME?

It is difficult to anticipate what they will do with the data. I use for example, a family took advantage of a free trial period of the Disney channel, but as usual had to give them their payment info and agree to terms and conditions. Years later if I remember correctly, the child was injured...
  5. DOES MY MAVERICK SNITCH ON ME?

Read the fine print when you sign up for the Fordpass app, that is why they goat you into it by keeping navigation dependent on your approval. Just use Waze or buy a GPS and forget Ford.
  6. Ticketed: UNSAFE TOWING DEVICE

You could go to court, though yourself on the mercy of the Judge. Tell him you thought is was an emergency and needed to remove the vehicle from the road ASAP. The officer appears to be new to her job and didn't recognize the severity of the situation just like she didn't realize your vehicle...
  7. Two weeks into a 2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid - Long Owner's Review

I love my adaptive cruise combined with lane keeping and can't say enough good about it. Ford only allows hands free for 15 seconds, but that is enough to do a lot of things. With light pressure on the wheel it is satisfied and does a great job. It recognizes speed limits and adjust your...
  8. What have you towed with your hybrid?

48 Willys. Trailers about 900 lbs, Jeep and accessories in bed about 2300 lbs?
  9. 4k tow package Drive ratio, cooling and radiator fan percent difference recource/discussion

You say weight is not visible, I don't agree, I think overweight is obvious. It might depend on your training and experience. The cop doesn't have to tell you the weight, he just has to have a good idea that your overweight and he doesn't have to be correct. You could have broken springs and...
  10. Camper Spotted on Maverick

Did you look into the GFC, Go Fast Campers. Half the price, only 250lbs with minimal area above the roof when collapse, so no need to take of truck between camp trips.
  11. 4k tow package Drive ratio, cooling and radiator fan percent difference recource/discussion

So I guess you are agreeing with the point I was making in post #73, in short GCWR -(gross combination weight rating) is unenforceable do to in part, the figure is not indicated on the vehicle. But I have a hard time understanding what you are writing when you say you can overload a 2k Maverick...
  12. 4k tow package Drive ratio, cooling and radiator fan percent difference recource/discussion

You could be charged with reckless driving, but most likely only if you give the cop a hard time as the overweight fines will be enough to break you and reckless is a loss of license. How is "sagging" not a reason?? New vehicles don't sag unless improperly loader. (you should be able to read...
  13. 4k tow package Drive ratio, cooling and radiator fan percent difference recource/discussion

You get too much of your information on law from watching TV. A trained experienced officer can articulate the many reasons your vehicle was exhibiting signs commonly attributed to vehicles overloaded and even if such officer did need a reason to stop you, this gives it to him.
  14. 4k tow package Drive ratio, cooling and radiator fan percent difference recource/discussion

Don't screw with these people, if trained law enforcement officer, has the time, and a scale, and sees a Maverick dragging the rear bumper with the tires compressed almost to the rims, he will stop you and fine you high dollars for weight violations. You may be getting confused by the Federal...
  15. 4k tow package Drive ratio, cooling and radiator fan percent difference recource/discussion

If it is not on a VIN specific document, you can't enforce it. Generic manuals won't stand up in court. Has to be on the vehicle, for example with the axle and gross weight ratings, which like I said are routinely enforced. I don't think an insurance company has much ground to stand on here...
  16. 4k tow package Drive ratio, cooling and radiator fan percent difference recource/discussion

I only wish I could show you in person. You will have to settle for reading it. Just some advice, don't go the guy who's job it is to change oil and ask him a about engine rebuilds then quote it to everyone on the internet like he is an expert...
  17. 4k tow package Drive ratio, cooling and radiator fan percent difference recource/discussion

Your wrong, any law enforcement officer can stop you for weight, the issue is having a certified scale available and the specific forms (and training) for the fine calculations.
  18. 4k tow package Drive ratio, cooling and radiator fan percent difference recource/discussion

If you are right with the importance of this weight rating, where would a police officer find it on the vehicle? The VIN and data sticker on the B pillar only list GVWR and each axle weight rating, which is routinely enforced. If not listed on the vehicle its a stretch to enforce a generic...
  19. Two weeks into a 2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid - Long Owner's Review

It definitely is the Model T Ford of self-driving, but like the T, it was better then walking.
  20. Two weeks into a 2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid - Long Owner's Review

To get the most benefit out of that feature IMHO is to set your cruise control to active, then when the system is all warmed up (can take 10 min), and you turn on your cruise and the truck will follow the speed limits!!! (you have the ability to set how much above or below you want it to hold...
