I suspect lighter would still be most beneficial on a Hybrid. You will definitely want the advantage of less rotational mass while accelerating. The tiny additional regen from a set of heavier wheels would not be nearly enough to compensate for the additional rotational mass that you have to...
Your numbers make a lot of sense, assuming Ford can make 100,000 Mavericks.
However, seeing the recent emails going around (super low allocations) really has me thinking Ford cannot match 2022 numbers and may be anticipating less Mavericks produced in 2023. Everyone was expecting Ford to build...
Sorry to hear this OP!
I suspect this is only the beginning. I think Ford should have communicated better with its dealers. I also think dealers should have been more realistic when taking orders. Especially those dealers who entered a disproportionate number entirely on a "hunch" that they...
But you see, Granger Ford (same region as LM) was likely given the exact same, vague to non-existent guidance, yet they opted to not take a single new 2023 order. Why would that be? Both dealerships had similar order percentages carry over? For better or worse, Ford put this on the dealers...
Ford does SHOCK us from time to time, but this move would surely be their demise.
I like to think if Ford could secure parts to build more Mavericks, they'd simply add a third shift at Hermosillo and build them right there where everything Maverick is already established.
I don't see how folks are still discrediting this idea. And to be honest, it really doesn't matter anyways. A salesman has little to gain spouting such a prophecy. Even if Ford's "goal" is an average time of 143 days from order to delivery, that's nothing impressive and actually sounds rather...
But there's really no need to "close the deal" when it comes to a potential Maverick customer. If someone is inquiring about a Maverick, they pretty well know they want one and hopefully also know how hard certain models can be to acquire. Thus no reason to b/s anyone this late in the game.
I think the silver kind of ties the Lariat lights together and looks pretty good, but between gloss black or HPR, I'd vote HPR (y)
Although if you could match it with the bronze from your wheels :love:
If I do manage to receive my 23 BAP, I'll be matching the grille to body color. I...
Usually you'll get notice that the vehicle is "in production" about a week before it's actually built. This is typically when the window sticker becomes available, doesn't necessarily mean it's getting built sooner. In fact I would say getting built sooner never happens. You will be "built"...
Yes, the blue will still be in all models. No Maverick will have an entirely black interior, regardless of BAP or Tremor. This keeps costs down to have those base components the same in each model/trim.
That is correct. But at a dealer level, my brand new order is now at the same priority as a re-order should be. I'm not saying its right and I originally was joking when I bugged the salesman about the priority code, but he didn't even flinch. Just changed it to 10 and sent me the new order...
The problem is that there really was no "rollover program." Ford could have easily rolled-over the existing unfulfilled orders, push them to 99 status, and then gave a set period of time for only those rollovers to get updated and in the system. They could have done all of that without...
There are no rollovers. All 2023 orders look identical to scheduling, the only chance at "priority" is the dealer properly assigning priority codes. My dealer had no hesitation changing my brand new order's priority code from 19 down to 10.. now I'm right there at the same "priority" as some...
You can only apply the rebate if you recieve a 23 to purchase. If your 23 doesn't get built, Ford didn't exactly do you any favor by dangling the rebate in front of you and stringing you along for another year. Hopefully it doesn't happen, but I would not put it past Ford at this point..
My 2.0L AWD all time MPG is right about 24, but I do much more short trips in the city than highway (I would estimate 60/40 city/hwy). I recently hand calculated 29 on a 400 mile round trip that was ~80% highway, but I've also had almost entirely in town tanks that were lower 20s.
