Iāve had 3 mavericks; 2 were custom orders. First was a cluster f**k during Covid and original production. Second order was late summer 2025 and was smooth as could be.
Meaning, I think Ford has it down on their end and experience will come down to selected dealership. Iād go buy the one 170ish...
Edit / SOLVED:
Took truck into dealership. They had removed wipers when they fixed a vent that was rattling. The tech didnāt reset the wipers properly. They took the truck into the shop 10 and in 10 minutes had recalibrated the wipers.
Hi Mav fam, any feedback would be appreciated. I know...
Iāve had 3 Mavericks. Two OG ones- FX4 and a Hybrid. Now a 25 AWD Hybrid. The rattles drive me bonkers. Of course āwe canāt duplicate the issueā when I take it in for service. Iāve also owned over time 3 F150s & 2 Escapes. This Maverick takes the trophy for rattles.
One of my main disappointments going from XLT -> Lariat. The seats are so hot, not even perforated. Our F150 Lightning Lariat had cooled seats, most Lariat trims on other models do as well (I think). Okay that and no driver auto-dimming mirror.
I do this intentionally. Between FordPass app and security keypad, itās nice to never need to carry the key around. Sure itās a small safety concern but Iāll take the risk.
I have a 25 Hybrid AWD Lariat. Found out if you hold down the traction control button thatās below the e-brake lever, it will turn off āAdvanceTracā (an advanced stability control system- I think).
And this icon displays:
Normal traction control:
I hate that you cant turn off the screen on 25+ Maverick. "Calm Mode" still keeps the screen lit-up and shows the clock. I'd love to simply turn it off and maintain the bottom HVAC controls. The entire instrument cluster display and new larger screen are not the best the more time I spend with...
Thanks for info. Was looking to see if these were battery powered for 25+ years. Looks like they are. I've had the SecuriCode system on every ford and lincoln i've owned. Our escape Titanium had a hepatic/touch version built into the door frame- very sleek and nice. As with other disapointments...
I considered that route, but I didnāt want to keep their loaner more than necessary and opposite, leave my truck with them while it all played out. I even took my spare key fob when I went to get it, in case I decided to take my truck back if they wouldnāt release it.
On that note, if you are...
I agree, and that was my issue. Software is now 100% a critical component of safe and proper vehicle operation. Even more so when there is no alternative to diagnose or correct the software without dealer intervention.
I love cars and rarely keep them very long. So no, I never had issues. Fordās- 20 Escape Hybrid, 21 King Ranch F150 Power Boost; 3 Mavericks- 22 FX4, 22 Hybrid, 25 Hybrid; 23 Lightning F150 Lariat ER. Non-Ford: a 22 Tesla Model Y, 23 Kia Telluride, 22 Chrysler Pacifica, and 23 VW ID.4.
CO charges us essentially property tax for vehicle registration, based on MSRP, weight, year, and a few other things. No hybrid but BEV fees, $50 flat. Ours was just under $900.
Also, weāve been subsidizing big oil for decades at the pump. So the argument that these fuel saving cars being...
So⦠I got this message every time Iād select Reverse gear.
We just sold our 2nd car to get something else so weāre down to only the 25 Lariat AWD Maverick pictured here.
Shorter story is the dealer had this truck from Monday, over the holiday and finally got it back today, Friday.
They gave...
OK, Iām venting mostly, but⦠I Received a loaner 2025 Big Bend Bronco Sport today while 25 Mav was already in shop for warranty work š and Iām a bit disappointed Ford put some things in the lowest end Bronco that my highest trim Lariat Mav doesnāt have.
Instrument Display - my #1 complaint in...
Stress crack most likely. My OG Tesla Model 3 had them on the glass roof, which was replaced under warranty. Hopefully this is isolated and Ford owns up.
So many variables to MPG obviously, but your short trips might be just short enough, and just the right geographies, speeds, to never have the chance to AVERAGE out. And on the highway, it seems like youāre getting what you should during the winter, again- depending on so many variables. Also...
You prob. figured it out by now but on the top right of the display if you tap the connectivity button it will bring up a submenu. Youāll see an option to put the screen in Calm Mode. Itās a 3 step quick process. Missing the physical button too for this. I wish you could just turn the entire...
