This doesn't stack up. We clearly have June and July orders still waiting and nothing prevents Ford from building and sitting on those orders while chips and other things come in. Builds are arbitrarily decided as far as anyone can see.
July 27th. Got a build date in Feb. Pushed to June 1st due to chip shortage. I have literally every electronic possible however. Stupid sour people from later on were scheduled before I was though.
I'm in the same boat. They said June which matches up with the tracker. I told them I'd wait for 23 model if it's a June pickup. It'll have been a year of waiting at that point. I'll just order differently now that I know better.
Yes. Shop around first. Why? I have the 2.0 motor in my 2013 focus st, and its one of the few Ecoboost motors that doesn't sport dual injection. Carbon buildup is real. I've had to do it around every 25k for the focus and it's gonna be due soon at 66k.
Last time they did the service they ended...
Robotic 100%. Spot welds have been a thing for over 40 years. Been restoring an old foxbody mustang and having to cut them out is interesting. This is also a cheap vehicle, and frankly this is something very easily solved with a liner. I don't understand the complaints.
If you want better...
Went out to see the truck as it's practically in my backyard. Met the new.owmer and he seemed super chill. Fairly happy with the look of the truck, sits a bit low though. Nearly as low as my focus.
Long time lurker here feeling the need to speak up about something I have experience with. You'll hear a lot of blistering from people about how a catch can is required for Ecoboost engines, and they're not completely wrong, they're just missing the point.
I'm a first gen Focus ST adopter...
