then they are both at faulty here. The dealer and Ford. The dealer for taking your order knowing that they don't have enough allocations and Ford for confirming the order knowing the dealer does not have allocations. But we can't lay all the blame on the dealers.
Hold on though. The dealer has to submit the order to Ford. Ford approves them or rejects them. If a dealer has say 100 allocations and they submit 150 orders and Ford approves them all, then it's on Ford to deliver 150 trucks. Otherwise just reject 50 to start with.
I still don't understand how Ford can confirm your order with a specific dealer and then not give that dealer enough allocations to fulfill those confirmed orders.
Anyone order from Capital Ford and get a built truck yet? When I went in to talk to sales manager in Charlotte a couple of weeks, he told me that they they had over 100 hybrids and none have been delivered yet. He wouldn't tell me how many allocations they had just stated that Ford does not...
the memo specifically mentions "Hard Trifold Tonneau Cover (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)" but not the roll up. Does this mean the roll up is not constrained?
This adds another piece to the puzzle. Thanks for this.
My brain assumes that if Ford confirmed your order, then that would use up one of those available dealer allocations. It might not work this way but it seems logical to me.
Someone please explain the "out of allocations" issue. How can a dealer be out of allocations? Don't they get more if more people place an order? Shouldn't there be enough allocations for all the orders placed?
From that letter, they donāt mention the roll up but only the trifold? I was going to drop the cover but wonāt if itās not listed as a constraint.
Also, as a late hybrid October XLT/Lux Iām just going to wait it out. I keep my cars for 10+ years so I donāt want to compromise on what Iām...
We had our first October hybrid scheduled last week. I expect more to come in the following weeks. Not everyone of course, but there will be more October orders scheduled before 3 months.
I placed my order October 23rd. I did not get an order confirmation email until I called him back to make sure my order was in the system. This was November 3rd. So I'm not sure if I'm an October or November order. It may make a difference if they move some orders to the '23 year.
Iām an October 23rd order who didnāt get my confirmation from Ford until November 5th only after calling the dealer to make sure my order is in. I donāt know if Iāll get a ā22 or a ā23. Iāll see where I am in 3 months.
Iām just wondering if they placed all those orders correctly. I had to call 2 weeks after I originally placed my order as I did not receive a confirmation email. After I called, I got the email from Ford within 30 minutes.
