When I picked up my 24 Lariat Eco boost it had 18 miles on the odometer. The gas mileage was awful for about the first 500 miles. I drive off highway for about 98% of the time and get 24.8 MPG.
That's BS. I've run my 2009 Mustang hard, tracked it and file to change the oil prior to 9000 miles many times. It has over 150,000 miles and drives like new. Very few engines toady fail at 100,000 miles. You're trying to scare people with wives tales to get them to see things the way you do. NOPE.
I purchased one of these over a year ago. And I'm truly an old guy.
This has been presented many times. You should have done a search for engine covers and realized that before berating a class of people.
And I do not need your respect.
Electronically controlled limited slip does not suggest an E-Locker or a physical limited slip. The brakes are applied, left or right, based on detection of wheel slippage. The brakes are taking advantage of how an open differential works.
Oh, and it works.
"I highly advise to wait tell 3000 miles to do the first engine oil and filter change. The oil that should be in there should be break in oil. That's the reason I would refrain from changing it earlier than 3000 miles."
Ford does not put break-in oil in the Maverick.
