I was also perplex at first during the install, but like HRG pointed out, the little funnel adapters in the bag did the trick. They are pretty snug and have not vibrated loose yet.
This reminds me, I need to do this again. A while back I did this and didn't realize it worked the first time I did it, so I did it again and re-enabled it lol.
The instructions mention the seatbelt sign blinking as confirmation when its done, and I was assuming it was the digital seatbelt...
I received the same wrench icon and the same warning after turning the truck on one morning in my driveway while getting ready to leave. This happened at about ~3 weeks and ~775m into ownership.
I looked around on the forum/subreddit, saw a few people mention it happening once and going away. I...
I know you are trying to sell this as a complete setup, so I understand if you don't want to break it up. I am also interested in the rails, but plan on buying the taller CS Rack to use with them instead.
I am over here in Lafayette and would be willing to come pickup the rails if you wanted...
I love to see this kind of project and post for the community, excellent work! The write-up is extensive and thorough and will surely save many people a lot of time. Will definitely be bookmarking this for future a future project.
One thing I wanted to suggest - with your document as thorough...
As far as the center stack goes - how does the lariat SYNC3 compare to the standard XLT center stack software? Is that something that can be upgraded via software? or do you need to swap out the head unit?
I use Android Auto 100% of the time anyway, but just curious if anyone knows.
So for the install of the tailgate liner, you actually leave the tailgate panel in place, and the liner lays over it and reuses the 8 screw holes so you don't lose any structural rigidity. However, I do agree that it was kind of odd that there is nothing securing it near the bottom of the liner...
I definitely agree. Months before I got my truck, a spray in liner was near the top of my list; however, after getting the truck in, and honestly falling in love with how the painted bed looked, I didn't want to get the liner right away. I was also of the mindset that if it gets so beat up down...
I bought my mav for similar 'truck needs' and I went with tonneau + bottom portion of the drop in bed liner. I opted for the tonneau for the ability to keep my things 'locked' in the bed on road-trips, traveling, etc. I also live in an area that rains basically all year round, so having that...
Got my leather sport wheel in today and got her installed. Install was pretty simple, took about 20-30 mins while taking my time. This feels soooo much better than the stock plastic wheel, and really feels like it completes the interior now. Opted for red stitching to match my exterior paint...
Ive always like the RT1s but have only seen them driving on the road, never parked. Never realized how small they are; did not expect them to be about the same size as the maverick.
After seeing how good the Stainless Works sounded with downpipe + catback, every other catback-only exhaust just sounds tinny and rattly. The bigger downpipe + catback is the only example i've seen that truly sounds cleaner and throatier without any crackle.
Every now and then my left foot goes for the phantom clutch when I start the car, or when im slowing down to a stop my hand reaches towards the center console area to downshift. Sometimes I miss driving a stick, but then I get stuck in traffic and realize I don't miss it that much lol.
